Holloway vs Edgar in Hawaii is what I would do. Edgar would be a super difficult fight for him with his grappling.

Of course I was flying when these fights were going on. Frankie will pose an interesting challenge for Holloway. Be interesting to see what Aldo does next. Wouldn't be surprised to see him take a fight at 155. That 13 second loss just sits over him like a black cloud.

In his defense. There was zero defense being applied to that rear naked and his hands were just floating out in front of him. As a Jiu Jitser, he was going night night.

But..... I'm okay with letting them if they choose not to tap.

There's no defense for Yamasaki. From his consistent awful officiating to him allowing both fighters to throw elbows to the back of the head. He shouldn't be allowed to officiate MMA.

 

Chiesa has just got out of the choke moments before, you have to let someone tap or go to sleep. I think it was only a matter of time but a referee should never, ever guess at what he thinks is about to happen and make a call based on that.

Just for reference Hughes/Trigg 2. Hughes was in the RNC and turning purple with his hands in front of him and moments late Trigg is getting slammed and choked out. You just never know. (Ironically Yamasaki was the ref for that fight too so he should know better)

I believe Lee had body triangle too. Makes it different than Hughes/Trigg, but I general I agree. Let them go out, if that's what they chose.

Oh I agree. I can't stand Lee but he was winning that fight either way unless something miraculous happened. I just really hate early stops and Yamasaki. Lol
