Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 Haven't found a great deal of info on her but if she is indeed a '26 then she'll be a part of this year's squad. In a '25-26 season preview from North Pole Hoops: Camille Pangonis (2026, F, 5’11”) – A do-it-all forward who rebounds, defends, and makes winning plays. December '25, a mid-season review from North Pole Hoops she was averaging 8.7r, 4.7a and this commentary about her. Camille combines length, timing, and athleticism to secure rebounds consistently. She is particularly effective in contesting high-trajectory shots and leveraging her positioning to dominate boards. Camille’s rebounding fuels transition opportunities, maintains offensive rhythm, and energizes her team defensively. Camille is a floor general whose vision and decision-making elevate her team’s offense. She consistently reads defensive schemes and delivers precise passes to open teammates, whether in transition or half-court sets. Her ability to anticipate movement, exploit gaps, and time passes perfectly makes her the engine of her team’s offense. Camille’s passing not only creates scoring opportunities but also forces defenses to extend coverage, indirectly opening space for shooters and cutters. @CamillePangonis triple, mamasa, HoosierHoopster and 1 other 3 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 There is confusion as to is she a '26 or a '27. Stuff I posted above indicated '26 but The Daily Hoosier late last night "appears to be class of 2027." Hopefully later today we'll see some clarification. TTT Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Had offer from Wagner College July 2025. Player Information profile 2026 Fort Erie International Academy Fort Erie Ontario Quote
HoosierHoopster Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Daily Hoosier post says 2027: "IU women’s basketball got a commitment from Ontario based 5-11 wing Camille Pangonis. Appears to be class of 2027." (Schumann) But here's the North Pole Hoops listing her as 26: https://northpolehoops.com/2026/01/14/wnpa-session-3-top-standouts/ Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 I've changed the title of the thread to place her in the '27 recruiting class. Colin McMahon covers IU for TheHoosierOn3 - Indiana women’s basketball has landed a commitment from 5-11 wing Camille Pangonis, per her Instagram. The Canada native becomes the second commit in #iuwbb’s class of 2027, and was a member of Fort Erie Academy, a prep school in Ontario. Stats for 11 games on last season's Grind Session (same league as GiGi Battle). https://grindsession.sportstrack.app/basketball/teams/1592_245/stats?player=Camille_Pangonis&rosterId=15451_1592_245&report=totals HoosierHoopster 1 Quote
mickey one Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Ok, this one is a bit of a mystery. Competition not stellar. Numbers not at the top. Ranking non-existent. An offer from Wagner College? Colsten, where are you? What's up? ronzo4IU 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 10 Author Posted June 10 Have to agree that on the surface this is a pretty puzzling offer/commitment. But, Thompson has been doing a helluva job at getting us involved with a much higher level of recruits than we'd been targeting before he was hired so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt on this one. Methinks there's a background story that we know nothing about. HoosierHoopster 1 Quote

She's a one year recruit that doesn't play and then transfers out. Quote
HoosierHoopster Posted June 10 Posted June 10 ^^ Yeah I would think there's a backstory we don't know about. Her numbers don't stand out but the writeups do talk about her as a strong rebounding forward with good court awareness. Quote
TTT Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Plays 28 to 32 minutes per game. That real glue player that T. Moren noted about C.S. trying to be respectful as in desperate. Lol. Mid major and staff betting on upside. Physically active in assists and rebounds and playmaker while making 21 (3) pointers. Averaging 8 points per game. IU felt they had to swoop in before upside becomes actual improvement and then major division one schools become involved I suppose meaning schools like Northwestern, Purdue or Wisconsin or whatever. Lol. Quote
