So Sinner, suffering from the extreme heat at Rolland Garros, just lost despite being up 6-3, 6-2, 5-1 -- as in one game away from the match, to #56 Cerundolo. Crazy loss.

Huge opening for the U.S. men (and of course others, cough, Djokovilk) -- first time since 2023 that either Sinner or Alcaraz won't win the title at the French Open, and the earliest exit since 2000 for the top seed at the French.

So ... Ben Shelton, Tommy Paul, Tiafoe? (Fritz lost in the 1st round)

Meanwhile on the women's side Coco's trying to defend her title, she's been rounding into form with her new coach but hasn't won a title yet this year

Sinner was getting cramps or heat exhaustion at the Aussie Open when they closed the roof which allowed the place to cool off and win.  They don't have a roof at Roland Garros.  The Joker had a problem with this early in his career and got it figured out, so Sinner will have to do the same.

Should have included Learner Tien, probably not ready to compete for a title but he’s really starting to jump up the rankings

The Joker lost today after winning the first 2 sets.  Rough tournament for the high ranked guys.
