No. 4/3 Indiana begins its last non-conference homestand beginning with Morehead State (4-6) on Sunday afternoon. Tip is set for 2 p.m. ET at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

ABOUT THE EAGLES
Morehead State is coming off a 64-59 loss at USC Upstate on Monday night. They are led by senior guard Veronica Charles, who averages team-highs with 13.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Junior forward Sophie Benharouga adds 10.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and shoots 47.8 percent from the floor. The Eagles are averaging 60.1 points per game and shooting 37.0 percent from the floor.

NOTES

Indiana returns to the court after a 10-day break in action for finals week on Sunday afternoon. The Hoosiers last faced Penn State in a 67-58 win in University Park on Dec. 8. They will close out non-conference play with Morehead State on Sunday a Wednesday afternoon matchup with Butler on Dec. 21.

IU is 8-0 against non-conference foes this year including a pair of wins over No. 11/4 Tennessee and No. 6/6 North Carolina. The Hoosiers are averaging 88.5 points per game against its non-league opponents, holding them to just 59.6 points in return while shooting 52 percent from the field. They are also 6-0 in non-con action at home.

Senior forward Mackenzie Holmes leads the way for Indiana in scoring and rebounding as she continues her strong start to the 2022-23 season. The Gorham, Maine native is averaging 20.6 points and 7.3 rebounds - both team-highs - and is shooting 69.3 percent from the floor, which tops the Big Ten.

Accuracy from the floor has been one of Indiana's strong suits this season, compiling a 51.1 percent clip from the floor, which ranks fourth in the country and tops in the Big Ten.  Helping add to that percentage is one of the nation's best shooters in Holmes, who is fifth in the nation in field goal percentage (69.3). Junior guard Chloe Moore-McNeil adds a 50-40-90 clip from the floor as well, shooting 55.4 percent from the floor, 40.6 percent from the 3-point line and 93.1 percent at the free throw line.

Indiana comes in at No. 4 in the NCAA women's basketball NET rankings. The NET ranking takes into account game results, strength of schedule, game location, scoring margin, net offensive and defensive efficiency, and the quality of wins and losses. IU is the highest rated team in the NET, with Ohio State coming in at No. 11 in the next closest spot.

IU Ladies as a whole team got a little workout and stretching.  A little better game awaits vs Butler as a warm up to a test after test of the big ten season.
