The eighth-ranked Indiana men's soccer team (2-1-1) will make the short trip to Indianapolis Wednesday (Sept. 14) to face No. 20 Butler (3-1-0) in the Sellick Bowl.

The match will be streamed live on the FloSports/Butler+ digital platform with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.

SETTING THE SCENE
• Indiana comes into the match after shutting out its last two opponents. Last week, Indiana earned a 1-0 win over St. John's on Tuesday (Sept. 6) before taking down No. 9 Akron, 2-0, on Friday (Sept. 9).
• IU begins a two-match road stretch that begins at Butler Wednesday. Then, on Sunday (Sept. 18), the Hoosiers will open conference play at Ohio State.
• Redshirt senior Ryan Wittenbrink has earned five points in four matches. He scored two goals in two matches to open the season before adding an assist versus Akron on Friday.

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
• Butler comes into the match with a 3-1-0 record. The Bulldogs suffered their first defeat Friday versus Ohio State, falling 2-0.
• In 2021, Butler had a 7-9-3 record with a 5-4-1 conference mark.
• The Bulldogs are led by 12th-year head coach Paul Snape. Snape has compiled a 95-80-31 record at Butler.SERIES HISTORY
• Indiana has dominated the all-time series with Butler, owning a 24-5-4 record against the Bulldogs.
• IU and Butler met last season to the tune of a 1-0 IU victory. Joey Maher scored the lone goals, converting a loose ball after a flurry of shots inside the six-yard box.
• The two teams have met in 22 of the last 23 seasons and 24 of 26 going back to their first-ever matchup in 1991.
