Had seen reports in the last couple of days Luigi Suigo was making a PUke visit and then this today.  Number of other big time schools interested.

Wouldn't take a lot of convincing anyway, but all I needed to see starts at exactly the 1:05 mark of the highlight video embedded in the Inside the Hall article. The young man is 7'3" yet seems to have no problem getting out and running with coordination.

Sold.

Not getting ahead of myself (maybe a little) but nice to see we are getting a visit. I hope we make too good of an offer to pass up. That’d be exciting. People want the new staff to “make a statement”… I think pulling a 7’3 Euro that’s a textbook Purdue player, coming off a visit with them, would absolutely qualify as a loud statement.

Raby says Suigo will be in Bloomington on June 17 & 18 for an OV and it was the international connections of DDV and Drew Adams that made this happen.  The writer for the Illinois 247 page indicated it was originally thought Suigo would come to the U.S. for the 25-26 season and attend a prep school but now seems likely he'll play for a first division team in Europe.

Wow, just started looking at visit dates and the staff is going to be extremely busy the next few weeks.

6/11-6/12- NBPA Top 100 Camp

6/13-6/14-Sammy Jackson visit

6/17-6/18-Both Latrell Almond and Luigi Suigo on official visits

6/25-6/27-Prince Alexander Moody visit

All that on top of coaching 11 new guys and implementing your offensive and defensive systems and trying to put together a cohesive team.

No idea what the future holds for IU basketball under DDV but he and his staff are not out honing their putting skills at Pfau.  We had everyone in Rock Hill, SC, on Wed. and Thurs. for the NBPA Top 100 Camp; Sammy Jackson arrived last night for an OV; we hosted a team camp today and still found time to extend offers to Kohl Rosario, Deron Rippey, Jr. and Arafan Diane in the last 24 hours.  Oh, and Latrell Allmond will be in Bloomington on the 17th and 18th for an OV.

And so will Luigi Suigo, the 7'3" Italian.

This HC and his staff are making a mockery of the previous regime.  It’s great to see IU involved with so many top players from the hs ranks.  Nothing but positive energy from this staff.  Bunch of workaholics.  Love it!   :)
