Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 15, 2023 Author Posted April 15, 2023 Shun Williams - '25 Akai Flemingis looking like a stud for the Celtics this game. Had 25 earlier, & well on his way to 20 this game. 6'4 scoring guard can get you buckets in different ways. lillurk, WayneFleekHoosier and Demo 3 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted May 14, 2023 Author Posted May 14, 2023 Trent Markwith -- 2025 G Akai Fleming had a huge 2nd half in a quarterfinal win against Team Huncho at Bob Gibbons, putting up 21 of his 27 points after halftime. Led the 3SSB 16U Division in scoring at 24.1 PPG during April, will head to the USA U16 Training Camp in a couple weeks. Quote
Demo Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 Most under-appreciated kid with an offer. Fleming is a stone scorer. Probably alone on this island, but I don’t think there is a big gap between Fleming and Meleek Thomas. J34 and Redcamaro 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted October 8, 2023 Author Posted October 8, 2023 No idea if we'll ever really pursue him hard but this from Dino Trigonis at the mini camp. From a productivity standpoint, nobody in Group Red here at @usabjnt is having a better Sat afternoon session than 6-4 2025 Akai Fleming (Osborne/Marietta GA). Finishing everything at rim with power, knocking down opportunity jump shots & creating havoc on defensive end Demo and thebigweave 2 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted October 9, 2023 Author Posted October 9, 2023 Clearly, Fleming performed very well at the mini camp. From Jamie Shaw: The Buzz: Akai Fleming played with confidence and poise this weekend. He was an invitee to last summer’s USA Basketball U16 Training Camp, which is when the program invites the 35 finalists for the roster. He was part of the group that was first cut as they dwindled down the roster. Fleming came into this weekend with a purpose. At times, he was the best player on the floor. Fleming showed a confident handle from the wing. He was able to use his pace to get to his spots, and he used his length and soft release to shoot over defenders. He did not get rushed, no matter the setting here, and that might have been the most impressive part of his game. Poise and skill are a good mix. Kansas State, Alabama, Georgia, and Indiana are among the early offers for Fleming. ALASKA HOOSIER and Demo 2 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 26, 2023 Author Posted November 26, 2023 Travis Branham from Holiday Hoopsgiving - Akai Fleming ranks as the No. 45 overall recruit in the 2025 class but he is one of the best mid-range scorers amongst all juniors. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard out of Marietta (Ga.) Osborne fell just short against a well-coached Pace Academy team but despite falling short, Fleming continued to impress with his ability to score inside the arc. Fleming is a plus-athlete with good ball skills, able to get to his spots to rise-and-fire from 18-feet and in. He can also finish through contact around the rim and earned a few trips to the free throw stripe. The next step in Fleming's game is improving as a long-range shooter and with work, time and reps he can become one of the best all-around scorers in the class. He finished with 21 points, four assists and two blocks while drawing seven fouls. Demo 1 Quote
