The Golf Thread

With some free time this summer, been reading up on the process of repainting clubs.  Really proud of the work I did on the club below.  It’s a king cobra baffles rail f — they came out in 2010 and the one I had really needed some work.  I went with a black/blue theme to change the color scheme a little (was almost black prior except for a little white and yellow lettering on the bottom).  I forgot to take a before picture but found a couple of pictures only that are pretty close to its previous condition (first two pics).  New paint job has the club head too with a front plate that is a gloss black with a blue centering line, back is black matte.  Bottom of club I cleaned and repainted the lettering (changed the yellow “rail f” to blue) and changed center black channels to blue.

Tomorrow (Monday) I have a tee time at Innisbrook Copperhead.  It's the site of the Valspar Championship every year.

This is easily the best course I'll ever play on.  I'll aim for the hole every time, so be ready for multiple hole on one stories from me.  I'm excited

Spring so time to start the thread up again.

I developed golfer's elbow last year.  Kind of thing that can linger for a long time.  Been playing with a compression sleeve and have cut my swing back -- if I extend my elbow with too much force can start the pain pretty quickly.  Honestly, the golfer's elbow has been the best thing to happen to my golf game in years.  Playing more 'old man golf' -- not trying to crush the ball, putting it consistently in pretty good positions and taking my medicine when I am in poor position to avoid big scores.  I'd been running a handicap of around 20 the last few years -- lowest I ever had was an 11 about 25 years ago -- and am currently am at a 13.  Put up back to back 82 - 83 earlier this year which is great for me.
