Another opportunity to watch Trent today at 6:00 ET on ESPN2.  MVA takes on the Boozer twins and Columbus HS (FL)

Would think he’ll be matched up defensively with Cam Boozer a fair bit. That will be very interesting to watch.

I wish Moye had a kid to guard the other Boozer twin!

I couldn't watch the game and I haven't seen any box score posted but Columbus manhandled MVA for a 79-59 win.  Cameron Boozer led the way with 25 points and 14 rebounds, while Cayden Boozer added 13 points in the win.  Haven't seen any stats at all for any of the MVA players.

Kinda figured this game might go that way. Huge talent gap imo. Which is an odd way to feel about Montverde.

In that loss to Columbus HS (FL), Trent had 2p  3r  1a  0s  0b  0t   He played 17 min. which is just below his average of 20/game.

Gabe Weis played 11 min and had 1p  2r  0a  1s  0b  0t

The annual Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament (MAIT) runs Thursday through Saturday.  The full schedule is at the link below.  Looks like the games will be available on the NFHS network.

MVA easily handled Windermere Prep last night 81-41.  Haven't seen any official box score but  the following is my best effort from watching.    13p  3r  1a  0s  0b  0t in roughly 14.5 minutes of court time.  Gabe Weis played about 10 min. and finished with 7p  1r;  1a;  1s;  1b;  0t.   I'm very impressed with how well Trent gets up and down the court.  Definitely not a slacker.

Tonight at 8:00 ET, MVA takes on Calvary Christian and streamed on NFHS network.

He’s definitely raising his game on both ends of the floor, which is why he made the move to begin with.  He’s always been a gym rat and has worked hard, but playing against higher level competition every day is taking him to another level all around.

MVA defeated Calvary Christian 62-55 but not a typical MVA game.  They were sloppy and outhustled most of the night but played a strong 4th Q for the win.  Trent had 13p  2r  1a   0s  0b  1t     MVA finally got him involved in the 3rd Q when he scored all of his 13 pts.  He picked up his 4th foul with a minute left in the 3rd and never got put back into the game.  Gabe Weis did not play.

Saturday night at 6:00 ET MVA plays Newman School and streamed on NFHS.

MVA escapes with a 51-48 win that ends in a bit of controversy.  Like last night, the team did not look sharp and it's clearly not nearly at the same level of the 23-24 MVA team.  Trent played  23 min. but sat out the final 6 minutes of the game.  He finished with 4p  7r;  0a  0s  1b  3t.  Have to assume it's the way Kevin Boyle wants to play but IMO they don't look for Trent nearly enough to score inside.  Gabe Weis did not play.
