Big match-up in Columbus and we'll need to have our "A" game.

ABOUT THE BUCKEYES
Ohio State is looking to end a three-game skid after falling in road games to Michigan and Penn State. They are led by sophomore guard Jacy Sheldon's 17.1 points per game along with a double-double average from junior forward Dorka Juhasz with 15.3 points and 11.2 points per game. The Buckeyes are averaging 81.4 points per game this season, the third highest scoring offense in the Big Ten.

NOTES

Indiana is looking to protect a six-game win streak on Saturday heading into Columbus. It is coming off a 77-49 win over Wisconsin to sweep the season series against the Badgers.

Sophomore forward Mackenzie Holmes paced IU with 23 points while senior guards Ali Patberg and Nicole Cardaño-Hillary each added 14 points in the win.

A win on Saturday would push the Hoosiers to another school record in Big Ten wins. They would surpass last season's record-breaking mark of 13 conference wins, setting the record for the second-consecutive season.

The two teams will meet for the second time this season as the Buckeyes took the first meeting in Bloomington on Jan. 26. Indiana was led by 26 points from Holmes in the loss, its most recent loss of the season. The Hoosiers have gone on to win six-straight.

Holmes and Patberg have made their mark on the IU record books this season in single game and career records. Holmes has tallied up 55 blocks this season, which ties her for sixth in a single season. Her 82 career blocks also put her in to the top 10 of all-time blocks at IU, tying Alexis Gassion for 9th place all-time. Patberg's 1,248 career points ranks 18th all-time and her 383 career assists ranks fifth all-time.

UP NEXT
Indiana closes out the regular season at home with two games starting on Wednesday, March 3 against Iowa. Tipoff is set at 4:30 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network.

Not confident on this one but as I said we can lose it and still be 2nd place in Big Ten if we win our last two.

This game is basically for NCAA Tourney seeding and little else with OSU banned from Big Ten Tourney. Unless Maryland loses which is extremely unlikely we are going to be 2nd in conference and 2 seed in Big Ten Tourney win or lose this game.

This is one of those games you really want as a program to point to as validation when you just received your highest ever program AP ranking. The ladies have been good and beaten teams they should beat. The Michigan win was a good quality win against a legit talented team. But if you want the respect that your program has turned a corner, you win this one on the road at a top 15 team historically who has your number. Turn a couple heads. Accept the pressure of being a perennially good program and face it head on and walk away with a win. I continue to stand by my feeling that Holmes is a star, Ali is obviously our motor - but this team goes as Grace Berger goes. If she’s playing well and hitting those trademark mid-range jumpers, it takes a lot of pressure off of our offense. Hoosiers by 4. Next loss comes against Maryland in the B1G Championship game and we get a 2-seed which would be huge in positioning us to make an elite 8.  Go get ‘em Lady Hoosiers.

I agree with what you are saying mostly but don't think we need anymore validation and win or lose this one we will be no. 2 in conference if we win both our other games. Maryland's not losing again so we are pretty much a 2 seed in Big Ten Tourney win or lose today.

Where this absolutely matters as you said is NCAA seeding and getting a 2, 3 or 4 seed is huge and win today could make a big difference there.

Game has been back and forth. IU has led by as many as 6 but right now up 1 midway through second qtr. At times game has been a sluggish defensive battle and at others an up and down back and forth score fest.

Why in world are they letting OSU wear Grey and IU White. That's really confusing.

Who let an IU basketball team wear script Indiana on the front? Cool Dad must be spinning in his grave.

IU stretched the lead to 9 late in the first half but OSU came back with two 3's in the final five seconds to cut deficit to three. Would expect a close game given how good OSU is. Buckeyes have really struggled on road lately since beating us, but are undefeated at home this season.

Frustrating quarter so far as IU still up 3 at media timeout. Letting OSU hang around which is not surprising but lots of missed opportunities including three straight FT's by Patberg when fouled on a 3.

Really bad finish to the third qtr and IU trails by 5 into 4th. Much like last game when we played them OSU getting stronger as game goes on. Really glad they are banned from postseason play as they look to me like second best team in conference besides Maryland but now don't have to deal with them after today. OSU hit a lot of 3's late in third and IU has not scored from field in several min.

Win the last two and this game matters zero from a Big Ten perspective. May need to get to Big Ten Tourney Final just to get a 3 seed in NCAA Tournament. Otherwise a four seed.

That sequence on the OSU end was nuts......they call a foul on IU underneath with the ball at the top of the perimeter on what clearly appeared to be before the shot.....and gave Ohio State the three.  OSU then hits a shot after that, giving them a five point possession.

IU still hanging tough. Down 2 with Patberg about to go to line. One of OSU's best players has fouled out and another with 4. Setting up for a photo finish much like Michigan game.
