LamarCheeks Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Looking forward to watching this. Maybe everybody will play great, we'll win by 25-plus points and everybody can stop fussing about the men's team for a couple hours. Who am I trying to kid? We won't stop the fussing for even 5 minutes! ... mamasa, HoosierAloha, Class of '66 Old Fart and 1 other 4 Quote

New plan, she takes on the name Alex and plays for the men's team. Class of '66 Old Fart, FloridaHoosierGirl and southsidehoosier 1 2 Quote
FloridaHoosierGirl Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 That was nice to get it in at the buzzer. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 End of 1 and our Hoosiers with a 22-8 lead. Totally dominating the glass with an 18-4 rebound advantage. IU with 9 offensive and 9 defensive rebs. Gulbe & Holmes each with 5 reb. Patberg 7 pts.; Gulbe 6. If only the men's team could start out this strong. JSHoosier Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Now Patberg hits a 3 off the bounce; 11 pts, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals at half. How soon can she get her hair cut? It have to be shorter for her to pass off as an Alex. EDIT: Make it 13 points. Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 Cruising to a 43-19 halftime lead. Points: Patberg 13; Penn 9; Berger 7 Reb.: Holmes 7; Gulbe 6; Berger 4. Rebounding advantage 25-11. 11 assists on 19 made baskets. Gulbe spent a good part of the 2nd Q on the bench with 2 fouls. Chanel Wilson also with 2 fouls both coming within a minute of each other. Holmes also with 2 fouls. I've said it before, but Mackenzie Holmes is going to be a fantastic 4-year player. Tonight she's demonstrated that she can use either hand to score. mamasa Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Anyone heard anything on Bendu? I noticed Novereske got some time, but didn't see Bendu. Not able to listen to Greg Murray, who usually gives the updates Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 Murray has commented that Patberg isn't attempting as many 3s this year and Wise's scoring average is down attributing both to the depth and balance on the team. mamasa 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 Jeremy Price just tweeted that Bendu went through warm-ups but doesn't appear she'll play. Hope she's not had a setback in her rehab. I noted she only played 6 min. in the Maryland game after having been averaging 12 min./game. Quote
JSHoosier Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Patberg with a deep 3 as the shot clock runs out, up to 19 points. She's on fire right now. Quote
mamasa Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Chanel getting a different look in her eyes- going from "coming back" to "ready to be a part of this machine". HoosierAloha 1 Quote
