GOAL in 84'| by Paige Webber, her second of the day and 11th on the season, to make it 3-2.  Piper Coffield with the assist and the Hoosiers hold on for a 3-2 win to open B1G play.   Women finished with 13 shots; 5 on goal.  Rutger 11 and 7.

Next Thursday night they'll be at Illinois for an 8:00 match televised on basic BTN.  Next Sunday they'll be back home to host Northwestern at 1:00.

And our Hoosiers bounce right back to make it 2-1 on a Sofia Black goal.  Black had been in the game less than a minute having subbed in for Anna Bennett.  She never gave up on the ball.

2-1 is the final score and the women are 2-0-0 in B1G play.  We finished with 15 shots; 8 on goal and 8 corners.  The Illini finished 12; 7 and 4.

We return home and host Northwestern on Sunday at 1:00.  Northwestern was on the road at #19 Michigan this evening and lost 2-0 so its record is now (7-1-2) (1-1-0).

Northwestern (7-1-2, 1-1-0 ) ranked second in the Big Ten in goals (28) and assists (26) prior to its Thursday night loss to Michigan.  Senior forward Ella Hase leads the team with six goals, nine assists for 17 points. She has recorded 22 shots posting a .500 shots on goal percentage.

Midway thru the second half and the women hold a 1-0 lead.  Hope Paredes scored just a little over a minute into the match off an assist from Lauren Costello.

The women make Paredes' goal stand up and get a 1-0 win over the Wildcats and are now (9-0-2) (3-0-0) on the season.  We finished with 15 shots; 7 on goal and 7 corners.  NU had 6, 3 and 6.

Next Thursday night the women will be at O$U (5-3-2) (1-1-2).
