Just glanced through several different reports and at this point sounds like it's just all related to performance of the program and fan dissatisfaction getting louder.

Selmon is the AD and this is from of the the stories I read --

Selmon didn't have many options. His teams were 82-89 for SEC action though 40 of those wins came from the 2019 and '21 seasons. They were also 3-6 in just three SEC Tournaments, missing out on the 2022 and '23 events. The 2020 tournament was cancelled along with all the league season.

Yep, won NC in 2021 then has struggled the last few years: Story

Hoosiers will head to Abilene, TX on a positive note defeating Evansville 14-6.  After 8 complete Hoosiers led 6-3 and added 8 more in our 9th which was a good thing as Evansville scored 3 of its own in the 9th.  Haney led our 14 hit attack with 4 followed by Malamazian and Stadler each with 3.  Hanley had 2 HR and a triple driving in 5 runs.  Malamazian had 3 RBI.  5 Hoosier pitchers gave up 12 hits and walked 5.

Hoosiers open the weekend in Texas with an 8-4 win and Jeff Mercer's 200th win as Hoosier head coach.  Kraft opened on the mound and went 6 innings giving up 4 runs on 4 hits and didn't walk a batter.  Unfortunately, 2 of the hits were for HRs.  Gilley pitched the final 3 innings allowing just a single hit.  Hoosiers with 7 hits all scattered throughout the batting order.  Hanley, Denny & Stadler each with 2 RBI.

May be an image of 3 people and text that says 'JEFF MERCER NTZANA D 22 HEAD COACH CAREER CAERNG WINS AT INDIANA B1G BIG| ปู่'

Do the Hoosiers have to win the B1G tourney in order to make a regional? It seems that way at this point

At this point, they probably have to win their 8 remaining regular season games and do reasonably well in the B1G tournament, or win the B1G tournament.

Sad. I’ve never seen such a talented roster that just flat out can’t pitch. Lots of wasted potential this season

Several recent years have been frustrating but this year has been the worst.  Lots of promise wasted.  Try again next year hopefully with some seasoned pitchers.

Been  a long time but the Hoosiers pick up a series road sweep winning today's game 7-6 scoring the go ahead run in the top of the 9th.  8 hits in the game with Schuyler the only batter with multiple hits and it was his single in the 9th that scored the winning run.  He and Brenczewski each had 3 RBI.  5 Hoosier pitchers allowed 6 runs on 8 hits and walked 6 ACU batters.  ACU left 11 runners on base.

Hoosiers are off until next weekend when we host PUke.  Then the following Tuesday we play at Cincinnati and then the weekend of May 15-17, the regular season ends with a road trip to Ann Arbor.
