Hate to say it but ....as well as Freddy played and showed up last night his free throw that was 4 inches short of the rim was emblematic of our season. We just can’t get our ship to sail straight. Unfortunately.

Agree. But..... missing and not even reaching the rim are 2 different things I think.

I imagine he had a repeating refrain, "short it soft, shoot it soft, shoot it soft". Probably so concentrated on not clanking it up there,  he undershot.

Actually, I think he had a brain fart and the effort in the shot was out his backside and not his frontside.
