Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 Usual spects for our starting lineup vs Missouri: Buss, Yeaney, Royster, Cahill & Penn. Reminder the game is being streamed via https://portal.stretchinternet.com/keiser/ Quote
ccgeneral Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 IU 13-11 end of 1. Nice stream but no volume and the scoreboard is about a possession ahead of the game. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 End of the 1st Q and IU leads 13-11. Royster & Cahill each with 4; Buss with 3. Neither team shooting well at this point. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

ccgeneral Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Turnovers adding up... Mizzou 17-13 Quote
ccgeneral Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Mizzou 28-21 @ half. We committed 8 turnovers in the 2nd. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 Only 31% from the field and 20% on 3's isn't helping plus we've allowed 14 pts. in the paint. Cahill with 8 pts and 5 reb.; Buss with 6 pts.; Royster with 4 pts. and 5 reb. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 Mercifully, the game is nearing an end down 24 with 5 min. left. We allowed Mizzou's Sophie Cunningham to score 17 points in the third quarter. Quote
ccgeneral Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Wonder why Wickware didn't play much today. Quote
TheWatShot Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Anyone else think Moren should be out if we miss the tourney again? Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 75-55 final score. Cahill 18 pts. and 5 reb.; Buss 16 pts. and 6 assts.; Penn and Royster each with 8 pts and 5 and 6 reb. respectively. 37% shooting; 16 reb. and badly outrebounded 46-28 and of the 46, 16 were offensive boards for Mizoo. Have to re-group for Monday's game. Quote

I am not a fan of breaking contracts, but also,I like what's coming in, and what could happen next year. Not thrilled with the season so far but not ready to cut ties ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Yeah, she gets more time imo. I'm underwhelmed to say the least but I suppose IU has never been a juggernaut, not sure where we setting our expectations. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mamasa 1 Quote
TheWatShot Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 My concern stems from her contract having only two seasons left after this one. I don't want to see a scenario where she gets an extension and then we suck next year with Buss and Cahill gone. Her transfer rate is ridiculous and we've lost some pretty good players under her watch. Also, something to keep an eye on...Sharon Versyp is wearing out her welcome in West Lafayette. They've lost at home to two MAC schools and don't have much momentum right now. I don't want this to be like football where they go out and find someone who starts to breathe life back into their program while we sit in mediocrity. WayneFleekHoosier and Hoosierfan31 2 Quote

Tia, Ria, Danielle, and laken (all moren recruits) all quit the team at the beginning of the summer along with foresman (miller) but they convinced the girls to announce one at a time so it wouldn't look like what it was--a SECOND mass exodus under CTM. If you look at what happened at Loyola Chicago with sheryl swoopes you will understand what is happening at iu.Taylor agler (miller)Larryn brooks (miller)Liz stratman (miller)Maura Muensterman (miller)Clair jacibucek (miller)Lyndsey leikem (miller)Victoria kemokai (moren)Laken wairau (moren)Ria gulley (moren)Jess walter (miller)Tia Elbert (moren)Danielle Williams (moren)Darby Foresman (miller)I could make a team out of this group that would average over 70 ppgMy guesses for who leaves after this season from most to least likely:WarthenJohnsonWickwareMarcheseYeaneySent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile app WayneFleekHoosier and ccgeneral 2 Quote

Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile appI just don't think the players are being treated well. The staff likes to play head games, doesnt develop talent well, and wastes the eligibility of talented players (elbert) and one or two players are "chosen" by moren and are put on a pedestal, while the others are essentially turned against each other to fight over bench minutes. It's always all love at the beginning of the season and by the end of the season people are pushed to their mental limits. I just don't think it's worth it in the end to these kids..they like the gear and the travel and free school but to deal with all the bs and still be mediocre at the end of the day..Sent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
