TTT Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Shay C. was already big ten proven. However, there are very very very few like Shay Ciezki. Shay will be greatly missed. The IU Ladies will need to retool into different game plan. ronzo4IU 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 27 Posted March 27 42 girls will participate in the Women’s Junior National Team minicamp from April 3–5 in Phoenix. From my records, 14 of them have an IU offer. Obviously, we may not land a single one, but we're definitely targeting the right caliber of players. mamasa, HoosierHoopster and ronzo4IU 2 1 Quote

TTT Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Wonder if Caffey and Noyan are finding the transfer portal competition tough going? NatHillIV and mickey one 1 1 Quote
NatHillIV Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) WAY too many NCAA basketball players think they are undervalued at their current schools. About half of the players in the portal will NOT land elsewhere. Agents, family, and friends don't do the players any favors when they badmouth their current situation. Portal isn't open and kids already know their next school. Unbelievable. Edited April 5 by NatHillIV mickey one and TTT 2 Quote

Exactly, and though some think it’s a funny/joke…it does mess player/s heads up sometimes…become head case.. don’t do themselves any favors and actually devalue themselves from WNBA if that was a goal. Unless a certain special special level there are a few… However, Look what both, Holmes and Berger; stayed the course, unbelievable hard work and humble and humility continually. They have and are living the dream with their hearts and heads in tact. NatHillIV 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Talia Goodman reports Iowa State transfer Kenzie Hare will be on campus today. Only averaged 6 ppg but 40% on 3s (52-130). https://cyclones.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/hare-kenzie/13832 HoosierHoopster, mamasa and NatHillIV 3 Quote
TTT Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Get Crook’s friends on IU Ladies team plus give freshmen time to develop. Could Win Win. This would be a great fit with additional dominant inside post player including Z (combinations and injury proof insurance plus minutes distribution). 3 ball or go inside and a floor runner. Runner to Colorado State is more appropriate fit. Similar to Bargesser. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 18 Posted April 18 With AAU season getting underway here's an update on the NCAA recruiting calendar. April 17-19 - Evaluation Period: We can watch players off-campus but direct off-campus contact is prohibited. April 20 - Dead Period: Not permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on or off-campus. April 21-July 31 - Quiet Period: In-person contact on campus is permitted. No in-person contact or evaluations off-campus are permitted. May 4-10 - Recruiting Shutdown: A period of time when no form of recruiting (e.g., contacts, evaluations, official or unofficial visits, correspondence or making or receiving telephone calls) is permissible. With the above in mind, this is the only weekend for coaching staffs to be on the road and watching targets in AAU events. LamarCheeks 1 Quote
