I think I would disagree on the big development. Davis this year has improved since last year in high school. His post moves are night and day. Play development involves physically growing with help of the weight room. Not sure that you saw Zeller in high school, but he was 210 lbs dripping wet when he stepped on campus. I also thought that helped his ability to rebound. He was so smart he was always in the right position on the boards. So I think the thought of him not developing a big is much like the thought high school coaches would do better than Crean are off.

If Davis is getting better and Bryant is regressing and has the post footwork of a middle school beanpole, what's the real story?  It's not "Crean develops big men."

You can't teach that lack of coordination. That is a God given ability. You can improve athleticism. You can't improve running like you are wearing clown shoes. I don't think Coach K could improve his footwork.

Is he really regressing or is it yogi made him look better than he really was? Its not like he had post moves last year and all if a sudden doesnt. Alot if his points last year were easy dunks or put backs. I dont recall many post moves last year. The difference is now defenses can key on him and his deficiencies are more apparent.

Well him and Zeisloft and all of the shooters that didn't allow opposing teams to pack the paint. Plus we don't have a player that can get to anywhere on the floor they want and draw a defense.

I was looking forward to this episode with Doyel cause he was supposedly going to be frank and up front, but all that I heard was the same old stuff we keep hearing from Crean and the players. Im tired of the coach speak and want to him some honesty and some real solutions.
On one hand Doyel talked about how great Crean is at developing players, then goes on to talk about how all of the players haven't developed this year....makes no sense.
He also said Crean is getting better players. I don't understand that part either. I think Crean is brining in more kids designed for his style of play (whatever that is), but we were pulling in McDonalds All Americans players and top notch players in the state, hasn't been the same the last few classes. I really like the players we have been pulling in, but I wouldn't say that each class of recruits has been better than previous classes.
