IUBB's B1G Conference Record Prediction Thread

Recommended Posts

I've seen enough to take a stab at it, though I'm not brave enough to guess game-by-game how we'll arrive at or Big Ten conference mark. Anyway, I'll go with:

12-6, tied for second with Purduedoo and Michigan (don't know why, I just think they've got enough veteran leadership to win a lot of close games). Two games behind conference champ Wisconsin.

Whattya guys got?

I've been watching other B1G teams trying to find where that WTF loss comes from. I'm seeing that loss @PSU or @Minn.

I'll go 13-5 and a share of the conference title.
Losses:
@Maryland
@PSU
@Michigan
@Wisconsin
@pu

We shouldn't lose at Maryland but I see Melo and some no name going off without adjustments being made. PSU has young talent that will surprise us in front of the 10 PSU fans that show up to get out of the cold.

Michigan and pu will rain threes on us. Wiscy will be death by a thousand paper cuts.

I'm in the 12-6 club.  I don't think we have the mentality to play at a consistently high enough level to dominate in the B1G and especially when we're on the road.

Losing Yogi and to a lesser degree Zeisloft left a huge leadership vacuum. I don't see IU figuring that out over the next few weeks in order to dominate a down B1G like they should. There isn't an opponent in the B1G with more talent.

14-4 and win the conference again.  In conference we were 6-3 on the road last year and I think we can duplicate that this year.

I guess it depends on when we play each road opponent as to the record. We didn't play @pu last season and we all know that's by far their biggest game of the season. We also got Iowa after they fell off a cliff.

Crean has plenty of faults, as are occasionally mentioned on the board ( :) ) but he has won more than a couple of decent Big Ten road games.  I looked at the schedule and still think we can get 6 on the road.

Completely agree, those wins @MSU and @UM to clinch the B1G were huge. A win @Wiscy or @pu this season would be a level below that. Wins @Mary, @UM, and @O$U would be resume builders as well. The other 4 should be wins but we'll slip up somewhere of those 4. (@PSU, @Minn, @NW, or @Iowa.)

Had us going 13-5 in conference. Think that'll be good for an outright B1G Title given that there appears to be a lot of parity in the league this year.

Maybe we could merge this with the other prediction thread dalton started?
So far, I've only missed on the IPFW game. Here's to hoping UL is a W as well!

For some reason this team reminds me of the 2011-12 team.  My prediction is that they will finish 4th in the BT and make the Sweet 16.  Our PG and our defense are the downfall.
