  1. I've thought the same. I was disappointed at the time but now I don't care and I'm kind of glad he's not wasting an IU scholarship.
  2. Going back to 2014 (10 seasons, including this one - basically, the time when the majority of the current students probably started paying attention to sports), IU has won only 3 times in 16 games against PU. So the old people like us may think of PU as "little brother" but they've pretty much owned us as far as the current students are concerned.
  3. Right, it's not as though they're storming the court after blowing out unranked Nebraska.
  4. We'll really miss his 9 games per season when he transfers.
  5. You have 5 fouls to give anyways. Have any eligibility left?
  6. TJD has traditionally had problems playing against big bigs like Edey. I think they'll let Edey guard him straight up. This is where TJD's lack of range hurts. If his range was better, he would force Edey to guard him away from the basket and could use his speed to get around him. But as it is, Edey should be able to stay pretty close to the basket and dare TJD to score over him.
  7. There's a good chance ~1/2 the team is different next year. Johnson, Kopp, and Thompson are 100% gone with no more eligibility left. TJD almost certainly gone. Good chance JHS goes pro. I expect Duncomb to transfer. That's 6 players and the incoming recruiting class is only 2 players right now so recruiting the portal hard is a must.
  8. https://www.si.com/.amp/college/2023/01/30/ncaa-enforcement-name-image-likeness-more-room-investigations Remains to be seen if anything changes. I doubt it does.

  10. 15.5 but this stat is total rebounds, not rebounds per game. He had a total of 1087 rebounds in his career.
  11. The defense this year hasn't been as good as that from last year, even before those injuries.
  12. It is pretty tasty. I had mine as a crow pot pie.
  13. I've been wondering about what the schedule strengths look like now vs preseason. This answers the question about IU's.
  14. Good to see him without the boot on but it appears he's probably not close to playing again. It looks like he doesn't even want to hop yet, much less jump. Only his heels leave the ground on those shots. Maybe a couple of more weeks, I'm guessing, but at least we see some positive progress.
  15. Sounds good to me.
  16. I've said this before. Edey's greatest "skill" is being so big and not being a total stiff at the same time.
  17. The 4 guards had more negative plays than points. 12 TO and PF vs 11 points.
  18. IU gets the ball stolen waaaaay too much. They did a good job in limiting the overall number of turnovers to 10, but 8 of those were steals. There's no good turnovers but steals are worse than dead ball turnovers. Conversely, IU's defense has done a poor job all year of causing turnovers.
  19. A lackluster game against a bad opponent means IU probably hurt themselves a bit in the NET. So it's not so much that Boise State moved ahead of IU as IU dropped below Boise State. The end result is the same but that's just another way to look at it.
  20. 8 players total but only 5 regular rotation guys. Wow. Wear them out and/or try to get them in foul trouble!
  21. Rosemond over Hunter? That surprises me.
  22. So if I'm reading that correctly, IU gets really, really good shots but doesn't have the greatest shooters (slightly below average?). I guess we already knew that, despite the improvement in shooting from some of the players
  23. Bronny James is a burger boy? What a joke. He's good but not McD AA good. No way he'd be one if his dad was pretty much anyone else.
