  1. Under his watch they did bust the Miami women's team for the first (and as far as I know the only) NIL infraction while blatantly ignoring the obvious infractions going on in men's sports. So congratulations?
  2. Before the PU game, he had IU as a 5 seed playing Oral Roberts. Said they couldn't win away from home, ignoring the fact that they had already beaten Xavier, UI, and UM on the road.
  3. Yes. The women's score was close but the men dominated the final night to pull away. They outscored OSU by over 200 points on night 4 to extend their ~100 point lead to the final difference of ~300 points.
  4. See the post by @LIHoosier above. At least $3M. So your point stands, but you're underestimating how much he'd make.
  5. If you had told me before the game that IU would end up with 4 players with 4 fouls including TJD and 2 other starters, TJD scoring only 10 points, give up 6 steals, give up 21 more FT attempts, and getting out rebounded 46-30 (21-5 on offensive rebounds) I would doubt IU would win. I certainly wouldn't believe winning comfortably.
  6. Men won the B1G Championship meet. Women finished second. It was between them and OSU in both meets.
  7. Some TJD love: https://www.si.com/college/2023/02/20/ncaa-career-scoring-record-maravich-unc-out-of-ncaa-tournament
  8. I think you misunderstood the question. GOAT being Greatest Of All Time, not literally having the basketball skills of a goat. ;)
  9. Can't really improve his draft stock any more than his incredible recent play already has. Even any incremental improvements to his play would be more than offset by him being a year older.
  10. You were at a bar? I totally can't tell from this post.
  11. Hmm. By definition, can't there be only 1 GOAT?
  12. Good win but why does this team seem to struggle so much when the other team is missing their best player?
  13. Even though he's only played 9 games, I think some of the games he appeared in were too late in the season to qualify for a medical redshirt. Specifically the Wisconsin game in the middle of January and maybe some of the late December games. If eligible for a medical redshirt, it would follow him if he transfers.
  14. The new coach in waiting!
  15. So I guess he'll be coaching somewhere else? Or is he staying and just so indecisive that he torpedoed his incoming recruiting class?
  16. Because Howard isn't a good coach? That's what I'm going with. I hope he's there for a long time.
  17. They don't take injuries into account when looking at the record. So they won't look at a team and say they'd have won x more games or this game or that game with the player. They sometimes take them into account when doing seeding, I believe. If an injured starter has recently returned they might get a seeding bump. Conversely, if a team's star player goes down and won't be available for the tournament, that could drop their seed. I think they also factor them for teams on the bubble, it can be the difference between making the tournament or not. This one I'm less sure of than the others above.
  18. That statement says that it doesn't matter if the foul happened before or after the buzzer since it did come while the ball was still in the air. If the officials are so quick to turn on Duke, maybe they'll lose their gloss when it comes to recruiting quicker than I thought. One can hope.
  19. Seems like a well run, disciplined program.
  20. Since there was a discussion going on in a game thread about JHS's chances of being drafted, I thought I'd start a thread to discuss the draft likelihood of any of IU's players. Here JHS and TJD are talked about: https://www.theringer.com/2023/2/8/23590732/nba-draft-show-indianas-jalen-hood-schifino-and-trayce-jackson-davis
  21. If they see something in his shooting that can be fixed, I don't think that would turn them off of him. They have great coaches in the NBA who can improve his shooting. It might be an issue if they think it's unfixable and he's just a bad shooter and will likely not improve much even with more coaching. The game has changed some since the mid-90s, but I remember Eric Snow from MSU having a long NBA career. That surprised me because he was a terrible shooter in college. Very bad. Sub-.500 FT shooter bad. So there is precedence for a PG who can't shoot still being valuable.
  22. That makes more sense than it actually being Kopp. IMO, Galloway is much more fun to watch than Kopp.
