  1. Turnovers have been a problem this season, steals in particular. IU's opponents have an average of 7.3 steals per game this season. 10.2 steals per game in the 5 loses. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that isn't good. 14 of IU's 16 turnovers today were steals.
  2. If that is the case, why didn't Duncomb, Banks, and Leal get some playing time? If the players that are the floor aren't doing what they're supposed to be doing, why not bench them? Not sitting them sends a bad message, imo.
  3. Oh, good, an "it's the fans' fault" post. Haven't seen one of those in a few days.
  4. McRobbie is no longer the president. Hasn't been for more than a year.
  5. It'll be too late by that time.
  6. I'm going with the latter since IU just made look like winning on the road is pretty easy.
  7. 14 steals by Northwestern. That's double the number of total turnovers they had (7).
  8. Game definitely wasn't as close as the final score.
  9. It's sad that the biggest question in my mind about the outcome of this game is if IU can keep the loss to single digits or not.
  10. Unlikely, since it wasn't holding up through the easy part of the schedule.
  11. This team is going to need a lot more than the current 2 recruits for next year than it currently has. Definitely losing 3 starters to eligibility, very likely TJD, probably JHS, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Duncomb and possibly others transfer out.
  12. Certainly not. Real trouble if he has to play 40 minutes against NW. At home. So much for the perceived depth this team had before the season started.
  13. More than defense, it's been turnovers which have killed us this game. At this time, IU has 10 more TO than NW: 14-4. NW has 10 more steals than IU: 12-2. Pretty much every stats is a wash or IU is doing better. The turnovers have been killer. Edit: Except FT. NW has doubled up IU on attempts (14 to 7) and makes (11 to 5).
  14. The only real negative to his game is that that he turns it over too much (3 per game entering today). That is fixable.
  15. Yep. Race, Kopp, and XJ are out of eligibility after this year. TJD has 1 year more if he wants it, 99% chance he's gone. JHS likely 1 and done. The players that might return don't look very good and we didn't have a lot of individual improvement during this past offseason so I'm not going to hold my breath hoping for that.
  16. And... I'm out. Better stuff to do than watch this.
  17. I guess we just have to hope that NW falls in love with the 3 but goes cold. Our D keeps leaving them open so it's not going to stop them.
  18. No defense. At all. Terrible start.
  19. IU trying to get out of the their 3 almost guaranteed losses to UL. https://www.wdrb.com/sports/source-indiana-asks-louisville-about-canceling-3-game-football-series/article_4424c430-8ed4-11ed-8845-73ae1ab0b15e.html Edit: saw this was already in another thread.
  20. For every good play JG makes, he makes 2-3 bad ones.
  21. Yep. As soon as he catches a pass I know there only only 2 ways it's coming out of his hands: a shot (which is usually a bad shot) or a turnover.
  22. Another way to look at it is that without TJD or some other skilled big on the inside there is no need for the defense to worry about that so they can stretch to put more pressure on the perimeter. In other words, without TJD it might be harder to get good looks from the perimeter.
