  1. I thought so. I vaguely remember that game but certainly not the T for the jersey being untucked. That's hilarious. I mostly remember how crazy their old arena was. Small but the crowd looked like they were super close to the court, like they were almost on the court. That and a really good IU team struggling against a very bad PSU team.
  2. Was that early '90s? Like '92 or '93? I remember when IU was really good at that time and PSU was pretty new to the league they had a tough game there that went to OT. IIRC, that was also the timeframe that the NCAA was cracking down on untucked jerseys.
  3. The $10M/year coach couldn't handle that? Poor guy, life must be so rough for him.
  4. Being a role player isn't a problem unless they can't perform that role or don't know the role they're supposed to play. Right now, players seem to be missing the latter. When most of the players don't seem to know what their role on the team is, that's a coaching problem. I see IU losing by double digits.
  5. Barstool got what they wanted out of the post: IU players to respond so they can make an article out of it. The IU players, all upperclassmen and old enough to know better, fell for the troll. https://www.barstoolsports.com/blog/3451701/checking-in-on-indiana-basketball-theyve-lost-two-games-in-a-row-annnnddddd-players-are-now-fighting-with-fans-on-instagram
  6. I see 4 loses there.
  7. So the coaches blame the officials and the officials blame the coaches for the current state of B1G officiating. The coaches will do anything within what they're allowed to do to win so it's the officials that need to make the change. Foul out 1/2 a roster and throw a few coaches if that is what it takes, but they'll get it and adjust accordingly. I don't know how one can blame the coaches for the inconsistency within a single game or between separate B1G games, though.
  8. Brian Evans and the Hoosier Hysterics guys rant about the IU program: https://247sports.com/college/indiana/Article/Hoosier-Hysterics-Podcast-Earl-Calloway-Brian-Evans-202575511/
  9. Whaaaaat? This is the first I've seen this one. So he thought he was next in line for the HC position and talked openly about what he would do differently when he got it? That sounds like he was undercutting Woodson.
  10. He's a Kentucky kid so I don't see him de-committing either way. I would love to be able to flip him to IU but I just don't see it happening. But out of your two choices, I guess if Calamari leaves. Fear of the unknown and all.
  11. UNC was able to get away with it because it was academics and the classes were also offered to non-athletes. They were able to successfully argue that it wasn't within the NCAA's purview. Phone calls to recruits, on the other hand, would have received no such exemption. 3 of the 4 recruits that Hoosier987 mentioned in the post I was responding to.
  12. And the 5 year show cause penalty he received? The NCAA would likely have absolutely hammered IU if they had kept him. It wasn't a big deal because it was phone calls, it was a big deal because he had already gotten in trouble for doing the exact same thing. He basically acted like he was above the NCAA's rules. How do you think the NCAA would've reacted towards IU if they had kept him? In doing so, they'd be saying that the NCAA rules don't really apply to them, either. The NCAA is incompetent but they would've done more to IU if they had kept him. Besides, that class isn't all that impressive. Certainly not worth getting hammered even worse by the NCAA for having the audacity to not fall in line by keeping Sampson. 3 of the 4 ended up at IU regardless.
  13. No! I hope they don't bail out UK! Make UK pay out the ridiculous buyout when they fire him.
  14. Jeffries fitting into that car:
  15. Here's what I saw. Originally posted by @Demo in the game thread. Unless it's under the sweat pants, he also does not have a brace on.
  16. He was walking around without crutches before the NW game. Gimpy, sure, but no crutches is probably a good sign.
  17. That was the belief of almost everyone. That's why IU was so highly ranked coming into the season and were favored to win the B1G. It wasn't because they were great last year, because they weren't. It was because they started playing well at the end of the season. It was assumed that they would be able to continue to play like that as well as having individual improvements plus the influx of talent. Obviously, they lost the drive to compete like they had at the end of last year, the individual improvements didn't happen, and only 1 of the new players has really had a impact.
  18. No, I don't see that happening. Even if he did, would IU actually do something to bring in a competent AD? I have my doubts since those hirings have been as half-a$$ed as those of the basketball and football coaches.
  19. I wonder if part of it was ego, to show he could win with the previous coach's players. Or maybe he thought he could "fix" them.
  20. He's spot on.
  21. They haven't even tried. They've half-a$$ed every coaching hire since Knight was fired.
  22. You can't have injuries and expect to keep winning. Just look at the woman's team... Oh, wait, they're actually good despite injuries.
  23. Tied with another B1G preseason favorite, IU.
  24. At least JG got only 10 minutes today. What's the worst thing that can happen if other players get benched? We lose at home to Northwestern?
