At least UCLA hired him on the cheap (5 years, $15M). IU paid Woodson like he was actually in demand which made it all the worse.

Hoosier Hoops On Kirkwood - October 2nd

Rabjohns is saying that as far as he knows there will still be a scrimmage in Assembly Hall, just without all other HH stuff that has traditionally been a part of that. -
He sure is. I wouldn't be surprised if he went into politics after his football career is finished.

Has Bloomington North improved (or South regressed) enough since I went there 30 years ago to make it an actual game?

Canceled his visits to IU and Kansas. I'm going to guess he'll end up at Duke. -
Even the walk-ons were good 3-point shooters in HS.

Finebaum, probably: "It's not SEC but still a quality loss for Texas/'Bama, pretty much as good as a win. I'm going to ink them into the CFP."

Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 8 9. -

Swimswam has the incoming women's class as #7 in the nation. https://swimswam.com/ranking-the-2025-womens-ncaa-recruiting-classes-5-8/ -
These deals are typically multiple years so there shouldn't be an issue with Fox for some time. That said, there'll probably be an issue with another network next year as that contract is set to expire. The cost of YouTube TV will probably go up in a few months as a result of this. It does appear to be a long term deal so there shouldn't be an issue with Fox on YouTube TV for a few years.

In addition to the Shackells,Whitlock, and Gulledge mentioned above, here are some other incoming transfers: Men: Aiden Sadler (looks like a pretty good diver) https://swimswam.com/diver-aiden-sadler-transferring-from-georgia-to-indiana/ Women: Jonette Laegreid https://swimswam.com/ncaa-division-ii-record-holder-in-200-breast-jonette-laegreid-announces-transfer-to-indiana/ Macky Hodges https://swimswam.com/ncaa-qualifier-macky-hodges-announces-she-will-transfer-to-indiana/ -

Like John Hammond, I'm on the same side as the bloodsucking lawyer in this case. Ticketmaster is a scummy company. -

The men add a couple more freshmen with good times. The look like they'll be depth pieces for next season. https://swimswam.com/indiana-bolsters-class-of-2029-adds-brandon-fleck-and-david-kovacs-for-2025/ -
Only one? That must have been rank.

And here I was thinking you went to college before the invention of radios and typewriters.

Apparently, he posted a screenshot over the summer of a conversation with his agent saying he wanted to leave Cincy but his agent told him he had to stay at that point. That's probably the "personal issue" the school referred to. He may have also not been getting along with at least 1 teammate publicly since he is said to have posted screenshots with one them last night.

IU commits have a good showing on this list. It's really interesting to me how IU has shifted from distance swimming being a weakness to on the way to becoming Distance U with big time distance recruits coming in for both the men and women. https://swimswam.com/top-20-ncaa-swimming-recruits-in-the-girls-high-school-class-of-2026/ -
Woodson graduated in 1980 which is 45 years ago. I turn 48 next month and, while I was alive while Woodson was at IU, I was too young to remember him. Even someone born in 1975 (50 years old this year) would have been only 5 when he graduated and highly unlikely to remember him at all. If they did remember him, it would likely just be vague impressions.
-
I personally couldn't care less if he ever gets over it or not. I'm not old enough to remember him as a player so my only impressions of him are from his time as the coach. Needless to say, they are not positive impressions. So whether an arrogant, thin-skinned, unlikeable guy who should have never been hired in the first place and got a year longer than warranted gets over getting fired for the half-assed, low effort job he did gets over it or not doesn't matter to me at all.
-
I know it seemed to last forever, but Woodson was at IU for "only" 4 years, not 6.
-
That's at least 6 wins right there regardless of the outcome of the game. A 7th win if they beat Michigan.
-
I pretty much agree with you but there are some things that I took away from these games as things that can be expected when the real games begin: - The offense will look much different this year. 3s or close to the basket will be the shots they're trying to get. Very few long 2s. - The team has some heart. They could have easily folded but fought back from 20+ deficits in 2 games. - 4 of the starting positions are probably locked in as Bailey, DeVries, Wilkerson, and Conerway. But, yes, you can't really use these games to predict how they'll perform in the season, especially the B1G.

You don't foresee Ristic playing for the County Fair Community College Corndogs in the future?
