Not a Lakers fan at all, but that looks like a good fit, could see him paired at times with AD -

B10 Expansion Candidate Poll: Part 1

A certain mod is dying to add Wyoming… :) -
Our fam vacations have included San Diego, Santa Barbara (my middle child went to the Snow Valley Basketball Camp as a young teenager, excellent camp), Lake Tahoe (headed back again) and San Fran, loved them all. We went to San Fran last summer, had a blast, but we knew better than to rent a car, car break-ins are really bad there. No racist incidents at all there for us. All major cities have their issues.

I'm going to Lake Tahoe in August, absolutely fantastic place to vacation

Yes, and while we have TJD, Race and X (who improved his play significantly) back, we’re banking on jumps from Bates and JG to go with early contributions from our strong incoming frosh. That said the returning depth of key vets is so key. Now the real question is can the team improve its shooting so we’re not so one dimensional and we spread the floor - just as key for a deep run

Wonky Caucasian

I like the exhibition games in place of the secret scrimmages, to get the guys more run and timing in 'real' game settings in advance of non-con.

UCLA and USC Joining the Big Ten
HoosierHoopster replied to nerdvana's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
A sweet and sour comment from Lunardi: "As for historic impact in men's basketball, no right-thinking person could argue the Big Ten is a good thing for the Bruins or Trojans. Is either going to outgun the Michigan States and Indianas on a year-in, year-out basis? And the example of Nebraska football sliding toward irrelevance in the Big Ten is a not-so-insignificant corollary. I’m down for being bullied by an Irish gal :)

If the expansion is ongoing i think another package deal is likely Oregon - Washington. Makes sense for several reasons including helping USC - UCLA. Or Stanford - Cal. The academic side is compelling to me and a good fit in FB and bball So i can’t see UNC happening as locked in a long term deal, but UNC - Duke? Talk about a bombshell

OK they look like a bunch of old white men, but man, that is one of the greatest rock tunes of all time, they still play it so well here, and the ending combo guitar solo is just a thing of beauty. Saw the Hotel California tour live when I was a kid. Stands the test of time. Fantastic song

Siap - Vic back with the Heat on a 1-year deal -
Very sad to see. And yes, Izzo is a good coach but a lousy little man who cares only about winning. The way he is put on a pedestal while they sweep his several turn-the-other-cheek moments under the rug is pathetic. Hope Bridges' wife recovers well and he gets held fully accountable.

Seems like Utah is looking to move D Mitchell too, as in total rebuild. If so will be interesting to see who lands him, heck of a player in his prime
-
C’s got better with Brogdan for sure. Play making was lacking
-
But that’s an interesting pairing, defensive mvp big and offensive big who has turned up his game

"What you are telling recruits is that you can expect to play big time games in front of exceptional atmospheres and in top notch venues by playing at Indiana.” https://www.insidethehall.com/2022/07/01/indiana-releases-2022-23-mens-basketball-non-conference-schedule/ Yep

This really is a badass noncon -- X, UNC, AZ, KU, to go with Miami (Ohio) and the balance of the schedule. Certainly won't hear people complaining about a weak noncon this year. Now the guys have the chance to step up and make some real noise before the season even starts. Love it.

Spill-over from the UT / Okla split. I don't know, it's weird, but then the idea of regularly playing UCLA and USC in bball is kind of cool -
Yeah my bad was working from memory, maybe I'm getting to old to do that lol. But real point is they barely/rarely lose at home, they've been consistently dominant in the Phog, it's been one of the hardest places in DI to get a W for decades. 2021-22 lost once, badly to UK - before going on to win the NC (and by 1 to Dayton neutral). 2020-21 lost 1, to rival UT. 2019-20 lost 1 by 12 to Baylor. If we were to win at KU, who have a team capable of repeating as NC, that would absolutely be a monster W, it's just not likely.

Poll: IU's preseason outcome (of the 4 big games)
HoosierHoopster replied to Southside's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I went with 2-2 but i’m seeing a legit shot at 3-1 (i can see 1-3 but don’t think that happens). 0-4 would be just bad, really don’t think that happens, but still love the schedule— got to go for it to get back to the top, and we’re deep
