  1. I hope we see that TJD, JG. X, Galloway, Kopp lineup get some real run. Btw Kopp hit some big time key corner 3's in this game, was good to see, and that lineup has D, spread, athleticism, and ball movement.
  2. We forced UM into 10 TO's in the 2nd half, that's some badazzz ball. Really liking X's fire on both ends, he is the key difference at this point -- along with TJD waking up and running p&r with X, Galloway's all around play, and support from Geronimo et al. -- Need Race back in form tomorrow, he's usually key as well
  3. ^^ I think this W is enough to get us in -- and I do think it should -- but a W tomorrow would seal the deal -- let's go!
  4. Doubt starting lineup changes, but man love Galloway's 5 assists (and 1 TO) -- he's not a point guard, but he absolutely helps the ball move and makes the team better.
  5. Held UM to 6-20 3-pointers -- and we shot 8-15 HAHAHAHA
  6. I'm at office and did the same. Love this W
  7. YEEAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! FINALLY!!!! That's a heck of a W, fantastic to see our guys step up and get this LIKELY GETTING US BACK TO TOURNEY W!
  8. Do you have their bank account routing & account numbers? I'll send in the payment, let's get us in!
  9. He certainly struggled with Cuse's Zone. But then, in that awful SW16 game, Hulls was playing injured, couldn't shoot, and Cody couldn't do anything in the middle. Unfortunate.
  10. Moldova is another former Soviet republic and borders Ukraine— not the best example lol :)
  11. Yeah Vic looked good, ended up with 11 and 4 assists and reportedly the team named him player of the game. Great to see him back after almost a full year out
  12. A caricature who won B1G titles, took us to SW16's, had us ranked in the top 10 repeatedly and at one point as the longest #1 ranked team, brought us teams with Wat, Hulls, Oladipo, OG, Yogi, etc. He was embarrassing, like I said I'm not a Crean apologist, but I would take him any freaking day over CAM, who did nothing but create the worst offense I've ever seen an IU team run, and lose.
  13. I'm not a Crean apologist but you don't develop one of the best offenses in college basketball consistently without being able to coach. It's more that he was a bad defensive coach and failed to develop sustained recruiting with depth for the next year. He would land a strong class, lose players to the NBA and overseas, with a follow-up lackluster recruiting class, and then he lost the high school coaches' respect, and the vicious circle began. You could certainly make the argument he's a better coach than CAM. Here's a thought, Crean was IU's third winningest coach of all time. Big 10 COY 2011-12, coached IU to wins over, among others, UK of course, twice, MSU, etc., first IU team to beat 3 top 5 teams in a season, the 2011-12 team was 2nd in the nation in 3-pt percentage (imagine that, today), same team finished 1st in the Big 10 in shooting and 3-point shooting and fg%, consistently after had IU among the top teams in scoring/shooting. He's not a really bad coach, but he's only good on one side of the ball and is too much a cheerleader on the sideline.
  14. Yes that’s largely how i see it and posted that previously— it’s not a popular opinion but it’s mine — that was a very winnable road game, with a really tough stretch looming, the violation apparently was curfew, and it was minor enough that all of them were right back for the next game. Lots of other punishment options, risking not making the tourney over that was short sighted and stubborn - my opinion, not going to argue with people who disagree, but man just a really short sighted my way or the highway decision that may cost us a tourney bid. Win 2 and none of this matters, and of course people can say you could argue it was x game, but the fact of this season is that it was the beginning of the long losing streak, and yeah we would have won it with an actual point guard and the full team available. So i’m hoping none of this matters
  15. We just need to win 2 and end the BS, 2 should get us in, 1 prob won’t, and fwiw it all started with Woodson benching half the team ag NWU. Still think that was a terrible decision, still think it may have effectively kept us out of the tourney, but win 2 and it shouldn’t matter
  16. So long as we play within the rules, including in the grey with a functioning compliance dept, I’m good with it — we are supposed to be able to recruit in the same “pool” as everyone else. The problem has been with our compliance dept. It started with Myles Brand’s approach to compliance. I don’t know how it’s run now, cant really speak to that, but it has been a real limitation. Where other programs’ compliance helps them navigate rules to recruit, ours has looked for violations. Brand was a “traditionalist” — the right way fir him was hard adherence to the rules with academics placed first. It’s been a real disconnect— compliance is supposed to work with, not against, athletics. The Brand legacy is that it has worked against athletics and particularly the men’s bball program. To compete at the top consistently the program needs compliance to help, not hinder it in recruiting within the rules and grey
  17. Do I believe it? No. But IU 68 PU 66
  18. I'm kind of torn here. Because of his age and his improprieties I wouldn't have wanted IU to hire him if we were in the same position (no, not the 69 position Stu references lol), he wouldn't be the right coach for IU, but man he's a great coach. The dude will have them winning and winning soon if he's hired. It's a splash hire, can't last that long, but he's a great bball mind (just as Sampson is, fwiw).
  19. Trying. Not. To. Picture. Josh. Pulling. Groin. In shower
