I think the bigger point (maybe??) is that rather than football being so bad that the anticipation for basketball grows without merit, the football being good means fan enthusiasm for basketball will now have to be earned by the basketball team. Or I'm totally missing his point which is completely possible.

Sure does. Right region and a high level program needing someone to get them back to consistent top 20 status. Easier conference to win in. VA Tech being good is better for college football. When it's rolling Lane is an awesome college football atmosphere.

I don't have a problem using the hand motion from the guard spot but timing the snap differently from play to play would help. Coogan snapped it immediately every time and Iowa was getting off the ball way too quickly because of it.

I'd expect a lot of pressure from their D-Line and would really like to see Shanahan use a massive tool he has in the box. That would be Hemby in the screen game. Great way to pull the dogs (Ducks in this case) ears back up a bit.

One series in and I still think Allar is the most overrated college QB since the turn of the century. I've never watched him and thought "oh, he's good".
