Looked about how I suspected. Defense way ahead of offense and when you add in all of the injuries on the offensive side it makes sense. TE is really the only position that has me worried. Hoover made some bad decisions imo but I remember how Rourke and Mendoza looked in spring as well so not too concerned. D-line certainly appears to be a real strength of this team. Tyler Morris was better than I expected coming off the injury. Overall it was good to see them play.

Your opinion is derived from Sisley not eating 15ish mpg at the 4. In which case I agree with you but I actually think that may be the staff's plan here. If it is then getting a 5 that can rebound and defend is all you need. A net zero guy that won't help tremendously but also won't hurt tremendously.

"There will be games you won't play but there will be games you play 15 or so minutes". This type of sale for 5 man could realistically get us a Payton Sparks level big man. I'd be ok with that in all honesty. You're not getting an ambitious high level player at this point imo.

He's mentioned before it's simply more comfortable and that's it. And he's the type of guy that.....I kinda believe him.

Honestly I'm fine with just adding another true 5. Someone overlooked that is in that 6'11-7'2 range that you think can play in a bind now (take up space) but also believe can be developed for future. Can't teach size. Not sure if that individual is out there or not.

I think a true 5 would be more beneficial. I see Sisley as an already in place big 3 that can play at the 4. Need that big body but can be a guy that you're also looking to develop but has shown potential. Another developmental PG or a sharp shooter would be ideal.

And as you know we've seen these type of things add up to absolutely nothing. Could be a positive sign though, idk.

I'm really going to miss watching Kaelon run for IU. I was a little critical of him in '24 but man that dude walks the walk when talking about all out effort. Hope he gets a shot in the NFL.
