Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA... Forever and Ever, Amen!
rcbowla replied to mamasa's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Love the Haines idea but there are problems. 1) Cig has enough energy and desire to kick @$$ that he may coach til 80 (on board with that btw). 2) Even if Haines leaves and he wants the IU job some day he could most likely still come back and get it. 3) He's way too good to remain as a coordinator for that long. Appreciate him while he's still here On a bright note I have full trust in Cig's ability to evaluate people and make a great replacement hire if/ when that time comes. -
Again, our equipment management/QC needs serious work. Daley and Hardy, I believe, were out there looking like the Steelers version of the Hoosiers with the pitchfork on only one side of their helmets. Also another game where the center helmet piping was falling off again. Does this matter in the grand scheme of things? No. Does it drive me absolutely nuts? Yes

I'm a big fan of Sumrall. I would've said Delaware St would have won it if they hired him.

Florida wins the carousel so far. I think Sumrall is awesome and will kick @$$ in Gainesville.

Motivation - IU Hoosiers have never won the B1G Championship game. OSU doesn't care much but will still play this like every other game Trenches - OSU This is imo the biggest key to the game. Unfortunately I don't like how we stack up on either side. A lot closer this year than last but still a gap in talent. Turnovers - IU IU is the more opportunistic defense. Mendoza has to value the ball and get rid of the ball to avoid sacks. Talent - OSU They are still a step or two above us and most all other cfb teams Special Teams - IU This is an important one that has flipped from last year imo. I like our ST's over OSU's by a significant amount Coaching - Push I like Cig more than Day, obviously, but Day and his staff are still elite. Can't give an edge to either side. All of that to say I think this is a one score game. And since I have IU checking more boxes I'll take Hoosiers by 1 point. 21-20

Kudos. It seemed insane to say then and it still seems insane this morning.

This is exactly what the B1G, and every other conference for that matter, want. Meaningful games being played on the final week of the regular season. 3 teams with conference championship games on the line. Remarkably happy for myself and all of you that we can sit back and watch with zero stress as we've already sharpied our spot. Personally, I'd prefer a UM win and Oregon loss.

Just reading between the lines. Mainly Franklin.

Amnesia here apparently. You guys all realize how bad IU has been for 9 years right? You remember wanting guys to shoot with confidence right? You remember wanting to be modern and shoot 3's right? There were some bad moments but we have a 12 pt halftime lead despite turning it over uncharacteristically. You tell me Tucker has 0 points and we lead by 12 and I'm going to be ok with that.

Sure seems likely to be VT

So the turkey thing is awesome and he did that last year as well I believe! However, the biggest takeaway from that video for me? "Ponds hopes to be back next year with even more turkeys to handout to the people in Bloomington"-could have fubared some of that quote but not the important part.

That was a nice look but better play by Tuggler

Color me orange (surprised) by Syracuse. Was not expecting this game to be this good.

Fernando is as perfect a "face of the team" player there is. What's real crazy is I'd say Fisher isn't too far off. If I were a casual fan or fan of like Syracuse or TCU etc I'd be really rooting for this team.
