IUFB 2024/25 Portalstravaganza

....man I'm itching for some positive, IU portal "tea" as my HS students would say!!!!! I'm super intrigued by the potential Fernando situation. -
Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA... Forever and Ever, Amen!
Artie86 replied to mamasa's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
.....am I missing something? Why is this not mentioned anywhere on the the front page of ESPN, or at least on the front page of NCAAF. Coach Cignetti's acknowledgement is buried in the article listed as Travis Hunter "big winner".... No, wait, none of this surprises me....We are just overrated IU. lol -
…..Roger That!!!! I will not bring up the obvious between the two, but I am thinking about dates, clubs, pool parties, etc… Something tells me she is the only one who gets away with calling him “Billy”! Lol
-
I just don’t understand…..lol Great for him! Actually, awesome! Just look at her…but he’s 48 years older than her!!! I wonder how many grandpa jokes have been thrown around?
-
….yes, sensei!

This is the a post I found this morning on a ND football message board! These guys seem so much more aggressive and arrogant than the worst OSU fans.... Hillarous! (I had to edit all the highlighted words!) lol Today at 6:43 AM #441 Cignetti you are a chicken sh%t. It might be the pre workout but I'm tired of hearing his bullsh%t acting like he's earned something and deserves special treatment. I don't give a bakers F#@k what you've done and where you've done it. Mfmf better be just letting all of his bullsh%t talk stew and absolutely unleash the boys all over these candy a$$ posers. F#@k cignetti F#@k Dan Dakich dig up Bobby Knight and kick his a$$ too. That stadium better be absolutely like F#@king Visine with no red in it at all. Blow their a$$ up and send a message to the rest of the nation. Let's go!!

I saw this article on another IU message board…. It’s a good read! https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/indiana-coach-curt-cignetti-knows-just-enough-about-notre-dame-and-playoffs-to-make-hoosiers-dangerous-in-cfp/

I have felt that NCAA football should have had a tournament/playoff similar the basketball for years. I think a field of 16 is great.

I don't think that mattered to him much..... If a good TE can/likes to block in addition to catching passes he is valuable. He was responsible for ALOT of blocking that produced consistant, positive yards and for various players and extended yards for Rourke. He was an absolute stud in more ways than one. -
....Found this hillarious! lol https://www.sportskeeda.com/college-football/news-he-knows-indiana-sicking-ship-fans-troll-hoosiers-qb-coach-tino-sunseri-takes-talents-ucla

Successful programs also attract promising and successful coordinators…. Coach Cignetti will find his gem of a qb coach, just you wait.
-
Let's face it..... If Coach Cignetti finds another quality, successful veteran, qb, even one with a few years left, he's gonna go get him. If he want's Jackson, Cherry or Mendoza to eventally be the starter, then bring on the competition including the new portal qb. The best man will win when the season starts. It's a tough gig, but Cignetti and Co. have proven it works. GO IU!

What are the odds of getting some surprise flips or highly desirable portal players joining IU? I know the portal opens Monday, I wonder who Coach Cignetti will be looking for a potential QB? This is always a fun time!! -
Exactly!!! I’m watching games of teams I would never be interested in!!!
-
I’m sure Dolson’s patience is running very thin with Woodson. Whoever he hires next, he’s gonna want him to make an instant/upgrade and he will be willing to spend money to get the right hire.

We have needed fresh young approach for several years now. This is not getting any better. We need an energetic, firey coach with drive and coaching experience in NCAA… When you have players in your huddle trying to fire the rest of the team up because of poor play, there’s a big problem. What a way to start Thanksgiving!

Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA... Forever and Ever, Amen!

It's funny to think a few years ago that most if not all IU Football fans would have been happy to consistenly get 6+ wins a year and a bowl game. lol -

I sure hope that given the opportunity, Coach Cignetti will definitely return the favor and “leave no doubt” when defeating Ohio State within a next year or two! -

What are Coach Cignetti and Co.'s biggest offseason (positional) needs for next year from the transfer portal? I ask this because we definitely got exposed a little on both sides of the ball vs. OSU. With some good NIL money, what kind of players can we get or have to have? Cornerbacks, OLB's, etc.? Tackles, Guards, Tight Ends, etc. ?

The game was eventually out of hand, but was also closer than the score showed too. We are a much better team than we showed last night! Momentum was key and then sustaining it. I’d like to see this game played at IU or on a neutral field. I’m not saying it would be a win, but the out come is likely closer with a better opportunity for an upset. JMO
