  1. .....I think Sales is saying, "......there seems to be a trend and a reason High Flying IU is "Double Dipping" at his HS. Noticably, good talent there.
  2. Yep, I'm sure that's coming sometime in the near future. There has to be a stopping point somewhere. Can you imagine if the NBA or NFL didn't have a cap. All small market teams wouldn't survive.
  3. ....not 100%, but ol' A. I. says this..... Based on reports regarding the Indiana University (IU) basketball team representing the USA at the FISU America Games, a player born in Turkey can travel and practice with the team, but generally cannot play in the games. Only American citizens are eligible to participate in the competitive, Team USA-branded games, as the competition follows strict eligibility rules. [1, 2] Key Details regarding this scenario: Eligibility Restrictions: Because Indiana University is representing the United States, foreign-born players (such as Turkish international players) are likely restricted from participating in official, counted FISU competition games. Participation Limitations: International players on the roster can still attend the events, practice, and travel with the team as part of the team's international experience. FIBA Rules: FISU competitions are affiliated with FIBA (International Basketball Federation), which often applies strict eligibility rules, restricting players who have not represented the USA. Player Example: Specifically regarding IU's participation, Turkish international Samet Yigitoglu is mentioned as being restricted from playing in the games but able to travel and train. [1, 2] In summary, a Turkish-born player would not be able to play in the exhibition games, although they might be able to take part in other aspects of the team trip.
  4. ....Yep, at least for these summer exibition games, we won't be able to see or hear about Samet Yigitoglu (born in Turkey) until the season officially starts. Currently, he's the only one not a naturally born citizen of the US.
  5. ….maybe a “Big Red” Wang! lol
  6. Here's the thing about all of this...... Pavia's "tough guy" act and "little man syndrome" has continued to follow him everywhere he goes. You have to admit, his public antics and inmature outbursts definitley hurt his status going into and throughout this draft process.
  7. ......and also not knowing the difference between University of Indiana and Indiana University. lol
  8. ...nope, he didn't sign with the Ravens. He just got invited to their minicamp. An invitation to a rookie minicamp tryout is a "needle in a haystack" opportunity for undrafted players, often described as an unsalaried tryout or a three-day audition to catch the attention of coaches and scouts. Unlike signed undrafted free agents, tryout players are not on the 90-man roster and do not sign a contract immediately; instead, they compete for a chance to be added to the team for training camp.
  9. ....I was just getting ready to post this pick. He almost looks like he's sending a message, but to who?!? lol
  10. .....hope he has the reciept for all 32 of those team caps! lol
  11. .....honestly, JMO, but it's a no brainer for any kid to want to play for a future Hall of Fame (NCAA) Football Coach in Cignetti. He wins, knows talent, developes talent and gets result. I'm sure Coach Belichick is trying to sell him his obvious NFL connection, but what really benefits him to play at UNC over IU? Maybe he's just trying to chase a bag $. If so, that's not something Coach Cignetti's going spend much time going back and forth with. Besides......, he, Monshun, and Brewer are supposed to be visiting this weekend. We will see who all shows up and hope it's a good one! jmo
  12. JMO, but I see some similarities between Moody and Oladipo. I would be awesome to see Moody had the potential success of a Oladipo type of player. Obviously he was considered an under the radar player at 3 stars when Crean recruited him. Vic ended up playing in 32 games his freshman year, averaging almost 8 pts. in 15-18 min. per game.
  13. ....I honestly think some on here may be overlooking the potential positive impact these 3 incoming freshmen may have on this team. jmo
  14. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/curt-cignetti-reveals-indiana-real-095817689.html .....This article is an excellent read. Coach Cignetti is proof positive that,... the way you coach, your knowledge of the entire game and how you get buy in from coaches and players is the absolute pinnacle to success! Yes, we had to spend money, but not anywhere close to the degree that most think. Those results were all Coach Cignetti. On the flip side, it reminded me of how much money Coach Woodson spent on IU's roster, his last year. It was reported to be top 5 at 5-6 mil. He had to spend more money to keep MgBako and Reneau from leaving and pay bigger money just to convince Omar Ball to come to IU. That roster under performed and totally exposed Woodson's lack of coaching in all fases. He had to spend big money and it still didn't help.
  15. Texas Tech is probably sweatin'...
  16. ....It's funny how some posters seem to "know" privileged information, like how much NIL $ we actually started with and how much we currently have left. GM Carr's "No Leak" policy covers a broad scope. I wouldn't be surprised if Coach DeVries and Carr already know who they want.
  17. ….yep, KY Gov Andy Bashear is not happy about that either.
  18. ....I foresee Sisely coming out this year looking more fit with a noticable increase in muscle. jmo
  19. I'd bite,... if it's cheap.
  20. .....there's been a lot of chatter of Coach Cignetti continuing to wear his black IU 2024-2025 "Playoffs" quarter zip. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that he continues to wear it because it's symbolic. It's his first year at IU and we went from the worst in the nation to one of the best, all in one year. It also may be because it reminds him to stay humble and hungry because that '24-'25 year we fell short. That was the year we got exposed from our weeknesses and quickly filled those holes in year 2 and you know there rest of the story..... JMO, lol
  21. ....and not to mention all the free Adidas gear, shoes, etc....
  22. .....or mop up minute because IU's starters have blown the game wide open by 20+ pts and it's under 2 minutes. lol
  23. ....hopefully the doctor won't run into your last minute corn on the cob! lol
