…..I think we all need to get used to Coach DeVries seeking out and landing the type of players that fit and work well in HIS system and HIS locker room. That was emphasized several times in his press conference. He will have a TON of NIL money to spend, but it HAS to be the right fit and a cohesive group to work. (Sound familiar, Coach Cig?) I hope he guts the roster and keeps Sisley and Goode.

Super, super excited after watching this breakdown of what Coach D is going to bring and instill here at IU. I know this is just a snippet, but MAN, it will be so refreshing seeing a team that plays hard and looks well coached!!! If you’re wanting to see what it could and most likely, will look like, ….it’s a must watch!

.....just finished watching the presser. 2 major things that stood out to me. 1. Coach has very a similar mindset, work ethic and expected "end game" as Coach Cignetti. 2. I LOVED his approach to the players, the team, the program, his assistants and the fan base as "WE"! There was no power hungry " I " as in, "I gotta do this","I gotta get them better", "I gotta get this team going"....... He truly values his staff and what they have to offer and contribute. This will be very welcoming and refreshing!!!!

....I think the last coach thought this! Look what 5 mil did for him.

....so I thought his name was pronounced DAR-EE-un...lol She keeps saying DAR-un.

.....see the diffence already!...... AR came off as unfriendly, unapproachable and in-over his head! lol

Chris,......I was just thinking about this exact thing walking down my HS hallway to the RR. lol I passed the bookstore I heard some students talking to the bookstore lady, an IU fan, about IU's new direction. I proceeded and thought, I wanted Stevens badly as well as many others, but when you have to wait, and I mean really wait, for an answer from a potential coach to come and be the next coach at Indiana University, there could be a slight red flag or problem. Just seeing a few pics of Darian on his way into our storied Assembly Hall, in his "All Business" suit, wearing a telling smile from ear to ear,.....says a lot.

....forgive me if it's already been mentioned, but when can we expect a formal press conference, introducing the coach?

......I have been frustrated since the announcement, but after sleeping on it, reading up on him a little more, I'm realizing that he has the potential to be an outstanding coach here at IU. I honestly think Dolson sees a lot of the same qualities of Coach Cignetti as he does in Coach DeVries. He saw the rapid success Coach Cignetti promised and produced. I think DeVries carries his "lunch pail" the same way.

Jerry was told to keep quiet..... I would guess to expect him back tonight or tomorrow with the info. he was talking about.

...if Dolson has had his man and is contracted.....I'm sure he's having fun with the IU fans and guys like Goodman.

....that reminds me of my now, 30 year old daughter...... When she was 3 years old and got frustrated with her mom and I she would say,..."You're driving me NERVOUS!" lol Boy, how time flies....... GO IU!

.... 2 or 3 current posters, on this board right now, were calling him a troll, attacked his credibility and definitely pissed him off! I wouldn't blame him.

.....honestly think the players have some idea of who the coach is or possibly is, but not 100%. jmo

.....his hiccup is definitely going to follow him around for a while. It almost seems he was waiting with baited breath for some juicy IU news and totally botched it! Very cringeworthy on his part.....lol
