….. sorry, but I know this will be the very first time I EVER, EVER….NOT watched an IU basketball game (when we are playing well). Instead I’ve been watching the Michigan/Ohio St. game. I recorded it to watch later….lol I know there are a few of you who may or may not have done the same thing….. lol

He spent the majority that video explaining what he wants to do in the off season..... lol ...of Coach Odum's 11 minute pre game presser, the two quotes below are 99% of what he said that hand ANYTHING to do with IU Football....lol Q: Is there any value in having a bye this late in the year? “It was valuable for us, certainly. And I’d bet if you’d ask Cignetti, I’d bet it was really valuable for them. So, it’s all what you make of it. They provide the schedule early in the year and then you adjust and try to fit what’s best for that current team. I thought it was really good for us.” Q: Can Purdue build a program that is a playoff contender like Indiana has done? “Yeah, I mean ultimately. I don’t want to speak – I know what they’ve done win/loss record – but I don’t know any details other than that. I know Cignetti has done a heck of a job. So, absolutely. You look at the opportunities that exist in college football today, in recruiting, expanded playoffs, and now retention and revenue share… Purdue has got everything that is needed to have a really, really successful football program.”

2026 QB Cash Herrera to Not Indiana
Artie86 replied to MemphisHoosier's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
....why stop what's been working so well? You know there are some highly talented/capable qb's sitting on teams with poor OL's/coaches who would love be IU's next Roark/Mendoza. I can't imagine that Alberto thinks he's a lock to start next year. It's just the nature of the business right now. He knows he will be coaced by the best coach in the nation, but will that be enough for him to take the reigns?...... Coach Cignetti is definitely going to give him every shot/opportunity to be THE one for next year. At this point, you can bet that he is being/will be contacted about a potential transfer qb who would love to help IU next year. -
I just got into my HS classroom and sat down at my desk. I was just thinking about how truely BLESSED we being Indiana Hoosiers! I was just relishing over our success and how teams try to prepare for us on both sides of the ball. All I could come up with was ........Pick Your Poison!!!! Lord have Mercy!

I bolded an interesting part Locksley's recent statement. I wondered just how true it actually is...... From the sound of Roman, it seemed like he was happy that he made the transfer. “We had to make tough decisions on guys like Roman Hemby and Kellan Wyatt. I mean, if I had the money to be able to pay them at that time, there’s no doubt those guys would have wanted to remain here as Terps.

…currently 3rd highest paid.

Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA... Forever and Ever, Amen!
Artie86 replied to mamasa's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
.....just wondering about this,..... Does Coach Cignetti go out each year and pick up a new stud qb, with intentions to be the starter the next year? Somehow, I don't get the feeling he is going to settle on Alberto potentially competing to be next year's starting qb. I think he gives him chance, but best believe there's a qb with plans on going to the portal with IU in his sights. His approach has been paying off so far.... -
(2026) - C Arafan Diane to Houston

....that's how you get those type of high caliber guys, right there!!!! ....both coaches going out of their way showing love and interest and leaving NO DOUBT in his mind that we REALLY want him. -
....does anybody else get the sneeky feeling that Coach DeVries and the players he brought in are going to suprise a lot of people in a positive way? I sort of get the feeling of "under the radar" and "sleeper". It definitely happened with IU Football. NO ONE gave Coach Cignetti and IU Football a prayer and now look where we are. I see posters on here complaining about DeVries recruiting and it just baffles me.

.... UCLA will come in here with a chip on their shoulder for getting completely embarrasssed at home by IU last year. They obviously have continued to gain confidence each week, especially if Nico is healthy and stays healthy. Just limit his mobility, keep him under presssure and take care of business.

I agree. My season tickets have always been on the visitor's side, section 28 from row 50 to now row 62. I have had row 62 and same seats the last few year now. I love the view right on the 50 yard line. IMO, the Illinois game was the loudest I have EVER heard it in there, for obvious reasons!

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/bigten/2025/07/21/big-ten-stadiums-ranked-college-football/84535074007/ ....According to the article above we rank 14th out of 18 BIGTEN stadiums.... I think the more this "train" keeps chuggin down the track at this pace, renovations and expansions on Memorial Stadium will definitely be heating up. There is no reason we couldn't add 5k to 10+k more seats here.

Good grief!!!! Lol

I foresee another round of big raises to Coach Cignetti and his crew…. Coach Haines will definitely be a HOT commodity, even more this year.
