  1. ....the old regime wouldn't have, but this one, I wouldn't be suprised.
  2. I also think,..... they feel they had the upper hand because his uncle was one of UK's track coaches......
  3. After hearing Wilkerson in the Field of 64 interview, you can just tell the prototypical type of player he wants. Wilkerson comes across as extremely humble and hungry, not to mention an obvious team oriented player.
  4. .....Coach DeVries may have to spend a little more money on him if he really wants him. He would be a huge pick up!
  5. ....same, but can we just play half court? lol
  6. I just can’t stop watching it because he looks soooo out of place! Bringing a sought after bb player to a horse track and even leading one around is odd!
  7. ….’ats Briscoe’s boy, ain’t it?
  8. ....anyone know when Wilkerson is projected on campus today?
  9. ......one of my biggest disappointment is not landing Sean May. He was a Hoosier if Knight wasn't fired.
  10. I love the Cignetti approach….. those kids have something to prove and have on a big stage!
  11. ...LOL!!! Coach was talking about sending a message to the team during practice of their poor play..... Someone asked him about that message. He was trying to say he barked quite a bit with some strong, adult "R" rated words, to get the point across, but he actually said, "Let's put it this way it was X Rated! lol..... Did anyone catch that from this clip? lol

  13. ....yep, perfect example last year. National insiders, sports writers and fans were mostly thinking when the BIGTEN got here, we would struggle and see how different it was from JMU success. Well, we all know how that worked out for IU and Coach Cignetti. His "Blueprint" and his "Process" oriented fomat was the real deal.
  14. ....welp you got me on that one! lol My life revolves around sarcasm and comedy!!! lol
  15. ....this just reaffirms this whole process that Coach DeVries has been taking since he was hired. It's a stark difference than what we have been used to. This guy really cares and is NOT just picking ANY player or ANY assistant coach. He is building a well oiled machine.
  16. I do too. I think he may get fouled on the attempt, possibly.
  17. .....I just keep wondering if #21 would have taken that 3 pt. shot, the FLA player might have actually fouled him on the attempt? I know he left his feet on the shot attempt, but changed his mind. He obviously thought it was going to get blocked.
  18. I hate to bring it up, but looking back,….Woodson was sort of “Killing It” last year during IU’s recruitment. Mainly because there was NO WAY any of those player would have come to IU last year without bags of money. They were only here for the money, NOT IU. On paper they were supposed to restore IU to national prominence and potentially save his job. The big problem was Woodson was never going to “save his job” because he was such an awful coach. ….combine that with overpriced, selfish players,…. well you know the rest. IMO, Coach DeVries spoke to every single player and came away with a resounding group of selfish, lazy, NIL hungry players. Good riddance! I could care less if Coach DeVries landed a whole team of D1 and D2 stars. All those Drake coaches have really prospered developing some of them into successful and sought after D1 players.
  19. ....nope. All team have some sort of injury or setback. WV was cruising early on in the season, knocking off some top 5 teams, then a couple injuries to 2 key players (DeVries and Tenner)changed their trajectory dramatically! .....I found this clip pretty telling from an article in January of this year. Small’s responsibilities, and frankly, his expectations, rose drastically over the last month. It started with the announcement that Tucker DeVries would be out indefinitely due to injury in early December. More recently, freshman reserve point guard KJ Tenner joined Tucker DeVries on the sidelines after he left in the middle of WVU’s win over Oklahoma State with an injury of his own. Tucker DeVries and Tenner are arguably WVU’s top-two ballhandlers after Small.
  20. ....plus Pearl can flat out coach.
  21. .....there is NO way I would move away when my mom or dad was very sick or even terminal. I may want to go to a certain school, but playing as close to home as possible would be my only option.
  22. ..... I think, most of us, including myself see a player we like on paper/film and think, "Why not IU?".... It reminds me of when I was a travel softball coach. We would have tryouts and certain players obviously stand out because of their talent, but after watching them around other players, talking with them individually and even their parents, you can get a pretty good idea if that player is going to fit into your sytem or not. I love that Coach Cignetti is all about culture and team chemistry and NOW we finally have basketball coach with a very similar mindset!
