So I was thinking, this has been the worst 10 year period of IUBB in my lifetime. Another contender could be 2002-03 through 2011-12 seasons, but that included a brief period of hope under Sampson and ended with the WatShot year. Also, I wasn't as cynical and embittered as I am now. So the last 10 seasons, 2016-17 through 2025-26 are the suckiest. That was immediately following the last B1G championship and has included four (4!) head coaches. Only a couple of NCAA tourney's, COVID and basically a lot of really bad basketball. It's discouraging. However, who is your All-star team from this genarally putrid decade? I chose more or less as legit line-ups and to be well-rounded teams. Use any criteria you want. Here is what I came up with: 1st team: J Hood-Shifino, J Blackmon, L. Wilkerson, J Morgan, T Jackson-Davis. 2nd Team: T. Galloway, R. Langford, R. Johnson, OG Anunoby, K. Ware. Hon Mention. T Bryant. Ware over Bryant was the only real decision for me. Not too many others come to mind as being worth much...Race Thompson, Ballo? What do you think?

Chuck Norris knows Victoria's Secret.

If Providence can't home, how could Xavier get there?

Interesting, that projected depth chart has every single starter and most of the 2 deep on O & D as a Jr or Sr except TE & Rover. Includes a number of 5th & 6th yr guys too. That is a lot of experience.

Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere else, but this stat blew my mind. Indiana has won 5% of their games ALL-TIME in just the last 2 seasons! 27wins /534 all-time= .050. That is RIDICULOUS.

IMO the student section should be absolutely brutal to the opposing players/staff. Referencing Mom's & Donkey's or whatever, just being as savage and vicious as possible....but not visiting fans. They are real people, players & staff got it coming.

I like Hemby, but between the 2? I take Black everytime.

Pure conjecture, obviously, but how do the assumed position groups beginning 2026 compare to the beginning of 2025? Better, worse or equal? Without too much thought my 2026 projections: OL better, RB worse, QB worse, WR equal(!), TE worse. I think the offense should still be very good, even if individual groups aren't as good as this past season. I am counting on Marsh to be all he can be. DL Worse, LB equal, DB worse. I am putting a lot of faith in Hardy & Jones, because Fischer was a machine. I think Moore was the unsung hero of the secondary in '25. Tough to replace him and Ponds. I still expect an excellent Defense, but a step back from the historic '25 squad isn't shameful. Spec teams equal. Hopefully, because they were flippin excellent.

Whatever magic Nebraska had seems to have run out in that Michigan loss. Dropped a tough one to Illinois and now look lost tonight. Momentum is a thing.

That sounds pretty positive. What is the outlook for IU baseball? Top 4 conference finish? Back in the NCAA tourney?

I was thinking the same thing- looks like a corpse at a budget funeral home.

What a stupid shot by Tenn. Sheesh, dummy.

This is the Big Ten officiating we've come to expect. Fears last 2 drawn "fouls" he literally wasn't touched.

Ridiculous

No mistake, it was intentional. That guy is a menace.

Sadly true. He's a total POS.

Well this sucks, I am cheering for Univ of No freakin' Classes because I can't hate Duke anymore than I do. Hold on, I'll try harder........nope, I am at maximum disdain for those arrogant azz-holes. So of course, they are running away early.

IU exorcised a lot of demons this season. Beat O$U first time in last 30 tries, won B1G championship, won the Rose bowl (won A bowl) won at Penn State for 1st time, National Championship(!!) so...are there any remaining shameful streaks or records that need to be broken?

IUBB Recruit Rankings
Hardwood83 replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Are there any other realistic '26 HS signees, or are the rest of the openings getting filled in the portal? -
Agreed, I am already sick of the " who is the next Indiana" clickbait headlines. I understand it's refreshing to have new schools in the NC converstion. Still, it's dumb to pretend that IU winning somehow opened the door for every down-trodden program to emerge. It was a pretty specific set of circumstances and people that brought results. Getting a new coach at a crap school ain't it.
