Guess is all we can do, isn't it? I'm not trying to be argumentative, but in 2 yrs of college, he's been bad (see stats above.) The narrative is because he was buried behind NBA talent and didn't get his turn. Ok, all I am saying is while that might be true, that is projection. Harris has actually done jack squat in 2 seasons, whatever the reason. So annointing him as IU's starting SG seems wildly optimistic. I'd prefer someone that has actually done it in college, even at a lower level (a la Brumbaugh) than someone that hasn't done anything since HS 3yrs ago.

Not according to what they've actually done in college. But I guess he was good in HS, so potential. Someone has to be the 4th guard in the rotation, I suppose. I'd prefer those mins go to Moody, but all still conjecture at this point.

No idea who Colby is, but he's asking us to believe Scheyer didn't utilize Harris' incredible shooting because "the situation at Duke"? Sure, there are all kinds of possibiities for why that could happen, but count me as skeptical. Is he better than Jasai Miles?

I hope that is right. I'm gonna stop tracking this for a while, because seeing options like Clark & D Harris are discouraging me.

Budd Clark I get he's a coach's kid...but he's under-sized, a terrible 3pt shooter and only has one year of eligibility left. Not a lot to like here, even for a back-up PG.

I tend to agree with you, but this isn't just IU. Kansas and Tennessee rosters are in the same- or worse- position. Over half of D1 college bball players are in the portal. So, I think it's more a systemic issue, than purely IU, we just have 25yrs of mediocrity leading up to it that amplifies the suck.

6/10. I'm not sold on Olsen as a starting B1G PF. As someone else said, that sure feels like Tucker 2.0. Is Estrella a significant talent increase at C? IUBB had 99 problems, but Alexis ain't one. A lot will depend on who ends up at the other spots. Is Dorn starting at 3, will there be a competent back-up C & PG? I wouldn't panic at that list for certain, but Olsen is not an encouraging start, IMO. I felt the same about Bailey last year.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel...but the So Alabama kid sure doesn't excite me, if that turns out to be true.

I like this...except the post depth. Would rely on Acimovic (Redshirt Frosh Euro kid) or Harris (undersized, recovering from injury) as the back-up Center. Fatigue/fouls/injuries and we are really hurting in the middle.

Several things about that are discouraging. 1- the last 24yrs sure have sucked. 2- I believe ALL of UCONN's trips have been since IU last won a NC. 3- IU feels like it's the farthest away from returning among any of the top 14 schools. Sucks, man, really sucks.

I might quibble over a few of the details (too many of your conferences have 11 members), switch a few teams, etc. However, this plan would be INFINITELY superior to the abject idiocy in place now. My rules: No conference should have over 12 teams and no conference should span more than 2 time zones (possibly excepting wherever Hawaii lands.) These dumb mega-conferences are harmful to college sports.

Bailey 2.0? Sincere question as I know nothing about him. There is a place for a guy like that, it's #8 in the rotation though, not as a starter.

Speaking of continuity I wouldn't mind seeing what Harris can do. Maybe Drake is a competent back-up PG? Seems a shame to literally waste a year on both of them. Also no guarantee we'l get anyone better. But Miles & Ristic can move on as far as I'm concerned.
