Yep, Wiscy has beaten MSU and UM while we have beaten 4 teams with a collective 3-21 conference record. The good news is that we did indeed beat those four teams, whatever their record, and if we win 2 of the next three (yes, that means beating PSU or UM) we will get ranked.

I wish I was smart enough to figure out how to get fired and receive 18-20 million. Hell, I’d be willing to get fired for a measly 10 million.

Borderline, maybe. I am very, very happy with the season, especially the win at Nebraska, but we had a rather easy non-conference schedule (since we are in the East I’m all for an easy non-conference) and the four BT teams we have beaten are a collective 3-21 in conference. i.e. if I was a voter I would say we have not beaten anyone. Now if we happen to beat Michigan.........

This reminds me of the Northwestern football teams back when I was at IU.

Why did they have to let the nation know we have had one winning season in 24 years... Oh well, hopefully we are on track to change things around for multiple years.

It’s funny that night games are an excuse for us but lead to crazy environments at Penn State, ND, LSU, etc etc. From what I’ve read through the years it seems that IU night games are bad, noon games are too early, afternoon is a bad time, around Labor Day Thursday/Friday/Saturday games are all bad as are sunny/rainy/cloudy/snowy/non-snowy days/afternoons/nights.

With Penix, Westbrook and Hale seem to see a number of balls but with Ramsey it is Whop and Hendershot.

Very good point. There were rumors last year (who knows if they were true) that there was friction due to the attention Romeo received. Just think of the potential friction a few years from now when a highly recruited freshman “makes” 100k+ per year while a fellow upperclassman starter, that works equally as hard, makes nothing. Could lead to some internal issues. That being said...something was bound to give. There is so much money sloshing around from TV contracts it was inevitable that some of the cash would flow to the players. It was not that long ago that coaches made decent/well above average salaries but now they are making 1-9 million a year. The schools, coaches, NCAA, etc are raking it in and now it is the players turn.

Was great to hear that Rob played last night. Was getting a bit worried that he would be out another month and then knocking off rust in Dec/Jan.

To be fair last year was Creans first at Georgia. One thing I’ve learned on this and other boards is that it is very, very unreasonable to expect a coach to win for 4-5 years. Don’t forget...Coach K started out 2-98 !!
