  1. That’s also how I saw it. Green wasn’t going to give the ball up. Lots of ugliness but at least we played harder than at Wiscy and Rob got some time. If/when he gets 100% we will be a lot better. On selection Sunday, if we are in the conversation, a W is a W. Glad we pulled it out.
  2. How many times have we won with more airball 3’s than made 3’s ? Glad to see Rob. Hopefully we will see more of him going forward. Props to Brunk for saving us during a stretch in the second half after a less than optimal first half. Not always easy to come back from that.
  3. A two point “run” could seal this classic.
  4. I know obscene when I see obscene and this is obscene (for both teams). Please keep children under 18 away.
  5. My bold prediction for 2020... IU will meet UCONN in the Final Four this April.
  6. Hopefully, we’re due. 4 points in 9 minutes. Ouch. EDIT: 4 points in 11 1/2 minutes. Unreal.
  7. My idea is looking better and better.
  8. 4 points in 8 minutes to start the half
  9. The way the second half has started they might give both teams the L .
  10. His D seems night and day better than last year. Good for him.
  11. It can be if Rob does what I think he can with his perimeter D on the ball. Without him there have been spurts, with Wiscy and UCONN, when it looked like the other team was playing H.O.R.S.E.
  12. Our small lineup and their big man riding the pine. Good combo for us.
  13. Nothing like stinking for 75% of the first half and still winning !! Green and Rob together!!!!
  14. Very solid. IU fans turn out in every NYC game.
  15. GREAT to see Rob out there (pretty sure his strep was a couple of weeks ago-between a concussion and ankle roll).
  16. Vitale agreed with me in regards to our schedule which means I have been wrong :)
  17. What did the $1,100 include? Ticketmaster has seats on the 10 yard line for $83...so call it a $100 with fees. Plenty of $150 per night rooms within a $10 dollar Uber ride. Two nights hotel and two tickets and Uber would be $520.
  18. IU - 77 UCONN - 71 Confidence percentage 15% ”Hope”meter 100%
  19. That was my primary disappointment with the loss. It’s true we did not have Rob and we never win at Kohl. However. There are many different ways to lose (get good shots but can’t hit anything, an opposing player goes off like never before, early foul trouble etc) but losing and hearing Archie, Hummel, Bardo etc talk about how we did not play hard is disappointing. On one hand it could be said that it was only one game but on the other hand we had way too many “mail-it-in” games last year (including the BTT game against OSU) to just call the Wiscy game a one-off. Hopefully Wiscy was an outlier for this years team and we will show up against UCONN. I really want this team, and Archie, to succeed.
  20. You’re surprised at how many thought Archie should make the tourney this year? Look back when he was hired and 75%+ of the posters thought he would make the tourney in his first year. I’m in the camp that does not expect an unrealistic run in the tourney but in regards to getting into the tourney....yes, I expect/hope that we at least make the tourney. Don’t care what seed but please, in year 3, get in the tourney.
  21. 247 just updated the last live bowl projections, after the OSU win, and they still have IU in the Gator vs UK. We will find out soon enough.
  22. Your right. I had forgotten that both Georgia and Baylor have two losses. OSU might fall to 4th but I don’t see them being in danger unless they get absolutely slammed in the second half. Even at that....they still would have a good shot at being the number 4.
  23. A LOT more game left but does OSU still get in if they lose tonight by 2-3 TD’s ?
  24. Who knows if they know what they are talking about but....30 minutes ago 247 did a bowl update (after the LSU win) and they have IU vs UK in the Gator Bowl. I think that would be cool. They have Illinois out west in the Redbox (no thanks). Project MSU in the Pinstripe (I don’t want to go back to NYC...prefer a Jan Bowl in FL).
  25. Not sure of the odds of being picked for Jacksonville but agree the Gator Bowl would be great. It has a long tradition and is played on Jan 2 which I think is a better time slot than the Dec 23-30 range. It would also be cool for our 20+ Florida players and could help our momentum getting FL recruits. Second choice would be Nashville. Fun city for a game and tons of fans would be within easy driving distance.
