For those not watching.... Green with two very sweet assists (should have been) to Race but Race missed both bunnies.

So far, it’s early, the offense is a JOY to watch vs last year. The standing around and weave depressed me last year. Great to see the change.

My memory stinks but I don’t recall any two year period in the last xxx decades with this many, one after another after another after another, injuries. Just unreal.

But the kids should appreciate that we just won it all when Reagan was president...

He will only have to worry about that if he thinks he can get a mechanical engineering degree in one year :)

I did not realize that until your post. They now have 3 recruits, all four stars and all listed as PF (although one of them is 6’7” so might actually be more of a tweener 3/4 ).

There is no guarantee he will leave early, and I hope he stays 4 years, but I think it would be prudent to recruit as if he will only be here two years.

Hopefully. Would like for Rob and Green to get a few games playing together (and integrating with TJD) prior to FSU.

Be nice to get a 2020 big and avoid going into 2021 only having a freshman big.

It’s inevitable that some of the 11 players are going to see their time dwindle/disappear when we play better teams, Rob and Green are 100%, and Hunter knocks off the rust.

Really happy with our three recruits but they are all 6’4”-6’6” players. Need to round out the roster next year with a big and PG (big is extra crucial if TJD only stays for a year or two).

Again, this won’t matter once BT season starts. However...there are 353 D1 basketball schools and so far our schedule ranks 345 out of 353. This is freaking IU and our sos is 345 out of 353. People can disagree with me (of course) but I did not like that type of scheduling under Crean and don’t like it now. PS. Unrelated but, regardless of the competition, on the offensive side it has been good to see guys moving, picks being set and no frigging weave 25 feet out. The ball has been moving better even though our two presumed starting guards have not played (for most of the season) together. Could be a fun year.

UNC and Nova??? It’s an awfully big leap from wanting to play 100-150 rated opponents to UNC and Villanova. I’ve not seen anyone that wanted to play them this year.

Not a surprise that we fell out of the top 25 but isn’t the 25th ranked team supposed to lose a road game against a top 10 team? I’m too lazy to look up what the 20-25 teams did Saturday but on paper it seems as though losing by one score should be considered overachieving. Lets beat UM and climb back in the top 25.

I agree and this has been without, for the most part, what we presume to be our two starting guards. Really think we will make the tourney this year with better things in the future.

I say this knowing Kenpom is off kilter until January. But since I don’t know who else ranks all the teams... Evansville - 132 (they were also in the 130’s before beating UK). Portland State - 275 North Al - 279 Troy - 297 Western Il - 311 There are “cupcakes” and there are incredibly sweet cupcakes. We are playing the bottom of the barrel. If we have a good BT season it will not matter at all but I didn’t like some of the Crean scheduling and I’m not a fan of this either. We should not play a murderers row schedule but flipping a couple of these games for teams in the 100-150 range would be nice.

If TJD plays like this in the BT (an unknown since we have not played anyone) he might stay in Bloomington less than we had anticipated.

Yes, 40% vs UAB and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.... Like what I see tonight but some of it is hard to gauge because of who we have been playing. That being said, the chemistry and movement (on the offensive end) seem much better than last year. Can’t wait for the FSU game to get a better read on our progress.

Players do matter but coming out in the second half with 12 guys in the huddle and the horrible fake punt is not just on the players.
