I have no idea if Beard would work out, if he would be interested, if he is “the guy” etc but in regards to a 5 year rebuild. His first three years at TT which is not exactly a basketball brand name that has highly recruited players flocking to... 6-12 7th in conference 11-7 2nd in conference . Elite 8 14-4 1st in conference . Championship Game In his first 3 years he had a better run than we have had in over 20 years....At TT! Agree with your sentiment that it will be interesting to see how he does this year.

I get your point but this is year 4, not 2 for Archie. People unanimously feel that Crean sucked and he went from Kyle Tabor to the sweet 16 in 4 years. Maybe we will still do that, this year, but it looks unlikely.

Hope AF is ok. I have never done this during an IU game, ever, but I dozed off when it was tied in the mid-40’s and woke up and we were up 10.. LOL Have to rewind it. Glad we got the W .

I googled our schedule for the next few years and that’s what came up. Bummer that it changed because I would like to have UM at home next year.

I also think we will be ranked but possibly in the 20-25 range. The thing that will be different, I hope, is that I think a few wins will help us move up in the rankings, quicker than in the past, because our “brand” is improving because of this years good season, Mullen should be pre-season AA, the national media Tom Allen mojo, etc. We start out at Iowa. I have zero knowledge as to how much of the Cincinnati team returns but they are our third game. The Cinci game could be MUCH bigger than anticipated a few years ago and we could easily be top 15 IF we beat Iowa and Cinci. We also have Michigan and Minnesota at home which sets up very nicely for us. Already looking forward to next year.

During halftime I think Sheridan read our posts about Scott and Ole Miss’s poor run defense.

Franklin is fun to watch. Did not expect to see his offense improve, so soon, to this extent. Good for him.

For the mojo of the program this is pretty much a must-win game. I would like to see us play with the urgency this game merits, see Galloway look at the basket (I do not mean that as a criticism of him as he has been a great glue guy, his career has barely started, you can tell he is a coaches son etc...would just like him to take another step in his progression by being a little more of an offensive threat), see one of the other freshman have a good game and have either or both of Rob and Jerome step-up. Rob and Jerome seem like great guys to have on a team, both have suffered injuries that seem to unfortunately have long-term effects (and I feel bad for them) but at some point they have to consistently produce or give up more minutes to the younger guys.
