Conference championship games should all be played on campus. Neutral site games are lame. College football should be played on campus.

Steuben throws on his cape each morning and rushes to the internet to defend Medicore Mike from all the bullies. Very honorable of him! -
That would depend entirely on how he played in those 12 games. If he was pedestrian and we won in large part because of our defense and ground game then yes, absolutely I’d be looking to replace him. You can always improve your talent, especially at a position as important as quarterback.
-
“If you just win” is a hilarious thing to complain about. South Carolina’s daunting OOC schedule included games against 5-7 Old Dominion (who they beat by 4 points), 4-8 Akron, and 5-7 Wofford. You lost 25% of your games and played another 25% against terrible schools. Stop complaining.

Jackson’s in his third year of college though. It’s impossible to predict how he’ll do next year, but we saw the lack of a QB doom Michigan’s season this year. I don’t want the same thing to happen to us next year.
-
Yes, I watched the Washington game. Jackson was fine in it. He didn’t do anything to lose us the game, but the offense wasn’t as electric as it has been with Rourke. He stepped in and played well against Nebraska, but calling it “as good of a QB’ed half as we’ve seen” is overselling it quite a bit… Rourke went 17-21 for 186 yards in the first half of the same game.. If we bring in portal guys and Jackson wins the competition, great. I don’t care who the quarterback is. I just want him to be a stud. But Jackson hasn’t shown enough through his first three years of college for us to rely on him being that guy.
-
I really just am not seeing what others appear to be seeing in Jackson. He played one full game this year and went 11-19 for 124 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT. It was the second lowest game of the year in both passing yards and completion percentage. What has he shown to make people confident he can be the guy to lead IU to a playoff appearance next season?
-
I hate these people so much. Why did they all decide to make IU the target of their angst? Our schedule had the two teams that played in the national championship game last year on it. It’s not our fault they both dropped off. “We’re not really doing this, are we? We're not really rewarding a team for simply winning games against overmatched competition” ok, but why should we reward SEC teams for losing games against overmatched competition? Alabama lost to two 6-6 teams. Ole Miss lost to a 7-5 team and an 8-4 team. Ole Miss beat its 2-10 rival by 12 points last weekend. We beat our 1-11 rival by 66 points last weekend. We have more wins by 14+ points than Ole Miss or Alabama have total. The SEC slobberers are embarrassing themselves.
-
I don’t think Alabama deserves the final spot, but the complaints from the Miami fans are rich. Sure, Alabama is ranked where it is because of the brand, but Miami was also over ranked because of its brand. They weren’t impressive all year. Now they have two losses on top of a 7 point win against Louisville, a 4 point win against Virginia Tech, and a 1 point win against Cal. IU, for example, has 11 wins, 10 of them by 14+ points, and we’re only a few spots ahead of Miami. Sorry Miami fans, but you just ran into a bigger brand in Alabama. Neither of you deserve the spot.

I mean, is there really that much for a GM to do post-March in the NBA? The trade deadline has already passed, the draft isn’t until June, and free agency starts in July. I don’t see why leaving at that time would burn bridges. The team is already set at that point. -

We definitely need to bring in a portal quarterback to compete for the starting job. I trust Coach Cig completely, so I’m sure that’s the plan. I honestly feel like a lot of the love for TJ is because his brother is TJD. TJ was decent in the Washington game, but he hasn’t shown anything that suggests he’s the guy who can lead a team to the playoff. -

Might want to take a look at the young up and coming coach at RIU. Got his team off to a great 8-0 start this year. -
And if they do, I don’t see how it could be at IU’s expense. IU is already ranked ahead of Boise State. No way Boise State loses and then jumps us.

This will sound like blasphemy, but BS hasn’t coached college basketball since 2013, and he hasn’t coached basketball at all since 2021. Are we sure he’d be a grand slam at this point? Would he really want the daily grind? -
I love hating Notre Dame because of their arrogant and stuck up fans (many of whom didn’t even go to school there), but I fear that they’re actually legit this year. Would love a first round game there though.

And I’m really sick of hearing about how much he (and Mike Woodson) “cares about IU. Every action he takes suggests they put their own wants and desires far ahead of what’s best for the program. -

Quinn Buckner has been such a disaster for IU basketball. He needs to lose all his influence. A guy who went 13-69 in his lone season as a head coach should have zero say in our head coach decisions. -

KathyC paints an incredibly depressing picture of IU athletics. All this HR talk about “consensus building” and “relationships” being what matters instead of wins. An unserious administration delivering unserious results. No surprise there. It’s way past time to get all these has beens out of the picture and let the AD do his job. At least we have IU football to enjoy until that happens. I’d rather be a football school anyway. -
I get what he’s saying. The SEC is a tougher conference than the ACC or the Big 12, so an 11-1 team from those conferences isn’t necessarily better than a 10-2 or a 9-3 team from the SEC. But when you lose to a 6-6 Vandy and get blown out by a 6-6 Oklahoma, you really don’t have a leg to stand on. The SEC also only plays 8 conference games. The results on the field have to matter. We can’t pick playoff spots based on hypotheticals. Nothing about Alabama this season suggests that they’re a juggernaut that deserves a playoff spot.

Fire him the second the final buzzer sounds in our last game. There’s no point in firing him now. The season was a lost cause when Dolson decided to bring him back for year 4. -

Fire Mike Woodson? I mean, it’s not rocket science. He’s clearly neither the short-term nor the long-term solution for IU basketball. He was supposed to be the “bridge” guy, but he has burned the bridge down. With IU’s NIL resources there’s no reason we can’t be an elite program. The only thing standing in the program’s way is the 66 year old head coach who’d rather get pizza with the fellas than meet with recruits. -

The program hasn’t been successful for 30+ years. One elite eight appearance since 1993. We’re constantly told that we need to be patient and that it takes time to build a basketball program. Meanwhile, Coach Cig takes over the worst P4 football program in the country and goes 11-1 his first season. Winners win. The football program has figured that out. The basketball program, not so much. -

The past weekend is only the tip of the iceberg. Why shouldn’t we believe the reports? They all paint the same picture of Mike Woodson. Are all these different people with similar stories about Mike Woodson lying?
