Purdue lost their all-everything center from last year plus another starting forward, loses their starting center a few games into this season, yet based on early returns I'll be shocked if they're anything worse than a 3 seed in the tournament. Just a frustrating thought I had today that I guess is a fit for this thread seeing how we are going backwards while they're going forward.

Miraculous that all of a sudden we got less tired. I guess Cliff Marshall isn't a scapegoat today.

We messed up so badly not getting Dusty May. Still, I would put together a hefty package and try to pry him away. Josh Scherz is very intriguing. See how serious Tony Bennett is about retirement, and if a $5M/yr NIL budget would make things interesting. Just get a winner. Make a list. Put everyone with a lifetime winning percentage of less than 50% in the left column, and everyone else in another column. Eliminate the left column.

I just hope the donors who contributed the most to our NIL realize their money is going to be completely wasted with Woodson at the helm, and can use their influence to force a change in hopes to salvage the remainder of the season with an interim coach.

Well this game is officially over. I just hope we can make it somewhat respectable to save a chance at the playoffs. A blowout would give a lot of ammo to the naysayers about us getting in and I wouldn't necessarily disagree.

Woodson's perception of himself vs the reality of how others perceive him are so far apart. He clearly thinks he swings a much bigger stick than he he actually does. It's not to hard to see why, as he played under Bob Knight, won a championship here, and played/coached in the NBA. So it's understandable if you get an ego. But you've got to do some self reflection and try to judge yourself objectively once in a while. It's a good leadership trait to have confidence, but it's also important to be humble.

We are not a serious program until Mike Woodson is gone. I have zero expectations for this year.
