They're a lot like us. Talented but under performing. I've long expected a win here, but this is definitely not a guarantee. The boost we typically get from the home crowd could be somewhat negated by our guys feeling increased pressure.

Well hopefully this thread gets a little more interesting to follow now over the next few days.

Woodson's back is against the wall, I think we win tonight. We have a way of responding just when it appears the bottom is about to fall out. I would not be surprised at all if a little 3 game win streak started last Friday night.

Yep this is where I am. Just enjoying college basketball as a whole, rather than focusing on rooting for my team. I'm 100% certain we will have a new coach next year, and that's all I really care about. The timing of Woodson's departure won't come on my time and that's ok. It's only important that it happens.

Why are we discussing Sisley decommitting? Are there rumors I'm not aware of, or are we just talking hypothetically here.

Mgbako had been committed to Duke for months before choosing to decommit because Filipowski opted to return for his second year. Reneau decommitted from Florida because Mike White left for Georgia. He had no shortage of suitors. The right coach could definitely put these guys in a better position to succeed. It had nothing to do with schools staying away from them.

Compare this UK/Alabama game with what we watched last night. Man it's like night and day in terms of quality and entertainment.

I was so hopeful this weekend would bring us news we all want, but now I'm faced mediocrity has been saved once again. I'm calling it now. A 3 game win streak started last night. He won't go anywhere anytime soon.

This game is a prime example of the Mike Woodson experience. Just roll the ball out and hope the other team is worse than ours.

If anything we have learned over the past few years that money/NIL alone can't buy you wins. You still need someone who is the stage of his life of being willing to work hard, and has the drive to be a winner. I honestly don't care if it's Stevens, May, McCollum, Beard, etc. Just go get a guy who works as hard as the players he coaches and let's roll. Ok just kidding I want Stevens more than the others.

That seriously was one of my 5 favorite IU games of my lifetime. We took so much crap from fanbases for celebrating the way we did after beating Illinois that night, but they couldn't understand.

Enjoyed watching their offense. Lots of movement and cutting to the basket. They could wreck some brackets if they come out of the Big South this year.

I know eyes are focused on the UM/Minnesota game but man this High Point vs Longwood game is so entertaining.

If we lose Friday at OSU, especially in blowout fashion, I strongly feel Mike Woodson has coached his last game at Assembly Hall without having announced his impending "retirement". Our athletic department isn't stupid. They know the damage that will ensue by empty seats, cascades of boos, "Fire Woodson" chants, etc.

And when the dust settled they have a top 10 team, play an exciting/modern style of basketball, and Pope looks to be a great fit. He'll be judged by how he does in the tournament though. That's always been his big question mark.

I keep checking this thread expecting to see some corporate speak from Kathy talking about stakeholders, synergies, and consensus building.

Screw all this talk about letting him retire on his terms, so he can step away gracefully. I want his a** fired. We're in this position all because he made it known his feelings were hurt he never got an interview 8 years ago, even though he never deserved one. The guy was in it for himself. All ego, literally no results ever. Wants the job title, but not the work that comes with it. Loves the recognition, but can't deal with the fans who criticize his approach. Fire him. Never let this loser step into Assembly Hall again.
