  1. Shirt and hat for me. Made sure the kids and family had the works---cell phone cover, shirts, jacket, backpack, sweats, socks, etc. My son even commented--"it's an IU Christmas" !  Go Hoosiers!
  2. Crappo---Duke wins both in BBall and FBall.  Same reason in both---lack of defense!
  3. The remainder of this season will determine if Crean survives.   If there is one thing he is---it's resilient!
  4. So tired of PAY TO PLAY.   Unfortunately so many are doing it that others who normally would not---- think they have to do it too.   Someone needs to get hammered so teams will cut this out.   Down here in Southern Indiana we have heard credible UK stories FOR YEARS!   Sad....
  5. Hate to hear that about Olah---still wonder what could have been with a healthy Maurice Creek!
  6. Good resolution Queen O!  Any other IU/Francaislanders have any resolutions?
  7. It's alright Alaska--I've got your back! Who else could live in Alaska--go watch basketball in Hawaii--and then enter the twilight zone and teleport to IU/Francaisland!  You're alright--no matter what everybody says!
  8. The new year is almost here.  Get your resolutions ready IU/Francaislanders!   We have a suggested resolution for Crown Prince Crean to give to our warriors:  I WILL LEARN TO PLAY DEFENSE EVERY PLAY!
  9. Heartbreaking loss---but we had so many earlier opportunities to win it that we only have ourselves to blame. To me--we were better than Duke--- but it's not a best of 3 series. It's just one game and fluke things happen. Soon--I hope we will have a season in which we get more of those breaks and finish with 8 or 9 wins for a change! Great to see us back in a bowl. Go Hoosiers!
  10. Good to see the big horses get some credit for helping our offense click.  I will never forget the Michigan game and how tough the running attack was when the line and the backs were working as a well-oiled unit.  Dominant!
  11. Congrats to Feeney and Spriggs----loved those truck-sized holes you opened for our two 1000 yard rushers!
  12. We close another chapter on Indiana football.  After the sting of the bitter loss faded overnight, I have to admit I think we are on the right track. Wilson did enough to deserve the extension to keep us moving forward. He has been bit with the injury bug to key player(s) almost every year of his tenure.  We are a decent defense and a healthy team away from bigger and better things.  The offense is among the best in the nation. The defense is young and will mature and continue to improve as we recruit better athletes. I hope this year was the turning point for IU FBall---the team should hold their heads up high as they proved they could play with anybody.  Next year---hopefully they start turning more of those close losses into W's! Go Hoosiers! Proud of you...
  13. Can't stand the Cards or the Cats---but can't stand the Cats even more!   Was hoping the Cards would pull that out.
  14. Hope he is doing alright.  I hate skin cancer. Lost my dad to that awful disease!
  15. Keith Smart is from New Orleans, you know. There is a strong French influence in the French quarter---maybe we will have some connections there! He could revive the franchise!
  16. Merry Christmas to all the Btown Banners crew!   It's gone fast but it's been another fun year!   Celebrate with your family, friends, and faith ----and for all Christians---don't forget to celebrate the reason for the season! JESUS.   Go Hoosiers!
  17. Welcome aboard AKMommaB!   When I first saw this thread "HELLO"---I thought it was an Adele promo. Anyway...   You haven't missed much this last year. Let me sum up 2014-2015 for you in Alaskan terms. Much like the word "ALASKA" has no "D" in it---we are missing "Defense" right now in IU BBall too. The IU fanbase firmly believes in global warming because we are growing impatient with IU's off-court player behavior and the lack of elite status despite having good talent. We are still trying to figure out if Tom Crean as Coach is a "Bridge To Nowhere"!  The heat on his tenure is increasing with every year and his iceberg is melting.  If he doesn't get it turned around soon he will be coaching somewhere else and perhaps he will be able to "see Russia from there" !   You are now caught up. Welcome aboard.
  18. And Coonhounds---"smart butts" are welcome in IU/Francaisland. As a matter of fact, it's a prerequisite---a requirement to join our Merry Band of Misfits! You'll fit right in!   Merry Christmas!
  19. Agree Coonhounds----we'll take some D anytime we can get it!   One more in 2015!   The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are no match for our Royal Knights!   They won't know what hit them when we unleash the French Brigade on them!
  20. Same old story---offense was excellent. Defense was subpar.   Signs of life--Troy is trying to step up---I appreciate that and I do not doubt the effort he brings.  RoJo and TB have good intensity as well.   Yogi is great ---at times.   I have to hope and believe JBJ has another gear.   Unfortunately---watching Purdue play right after IU made it painfully clear how much better they play defense then we do. (But their offense is not nearly as much fun to watch)   10-3 Preseason-------time to move on and see where we go from here.
  21. The good news IU/Francaisland is we finish the preseason 10-3.  All goals are still within reach and we have a favorable battle schedule to open conference.   Let's take a few days off---enjoy Christmas with our families---and hope the defense shows up in 2016!   Viva La Francais---Viva La IU!
  22. I am glad we devoured that KSU "petit gateau"--- cupcake---but honestly I thought we would finish it off quickly and not play around with it and get it all over our mouths.   Messy to say the least!
  23. Glad we got the W but I have to say our defense is still---really BAD!
  24. I am glad MSU held on---helps the Big Ten.  Without Valentine they were still good enough.   Purdue put it on Vandy late---Purdue plays defense like we wish we would.  But their offense is hard to watch.  I dread playing against the three giants inside---especially at West Laffy. They only hit 2 3-pointers that I remember but still won by double digits due to their post game.
