I know the guy is athletic but Smith keeps surprising at how strong he is too. We are definitely going to see him point-blank dunk on dudes in the future. Archie has to find a way to get Davis engaged again. The dude could possibly be top 3 big in Big ten but he goes through massive disinterested streaks, like last year. I disagree about him not being more athletic. He's had a few plays that were way more explosive than last year and his foul issue has slowed. He was pissed off during that Seton Hall and Duke game and it showed in his production. I'd load McRoberts on his side since the dumps are decent and he can at least hit a 3, lol. Forgot to extend timer and missed the last 7 mins or so AGAIN. Glad Smith got more run finally. Need the game to slow down for him. And Green, I dunno what to think. That was definitely some hot garbage against a weak team. Feel bad for Durham getting some bad calls on him. We are honestly going no where in conference with this trash shooting. I LOVE seeing coach lose his mind after that morgan dunk for the team to hurry back down and huddle up before the Green free throws. It's starting to feel like we got our guy folks! I can see this team getting a few wins in the NIT amd that's about it. Team is slowly improving overall which is good enough for me this year. Next year, get in the dance and even win a game. Great freaking game by IU.. we fell short but played way better than I thought we would have. So pleased. Johnson did a hell of a job on Allen. He's annoying but dide can hit very difficult shots. So pleased with the game. We all have to accept that Assembly Hall is just "that gym". People who have played probably know exactly what im talking about. There was always this one school that we loved to play on the road at because for whatever reason, the hoop looked bigger and u could legit jump 2 or 3 inches higher than normal due to the court structure I assume. That team was never very good so we always rolled them. But, we could get home from that game and immediately go onto our court and be super dissapointed when the rim looked normal again and u try to dunk and can only get ur finger tips wrapped on the rim. Lol. Ours was a brand new court and just seemed to be super unforgiving. Anyway, yes our 3 point defense can be suspect but when dudes have been ripping contested 3s, it just leads me to believe we may have "that gym" that people love to play on (sans rabid crowd). And I can't wait until we have more fan buy in and the Hall becomes THE HALL again. The early product leaves some to be desired but as well all know, sleeping giant mode while people feel this team out! I think Hartman might have stirred the pot last night! We gotta just lay back and enjoy the process. I don't have any expectations honestly. I just want to see constant progress to set us up for next year. If we run at the NIT and win the thing, I'll be elated for this particular group of young men. I wouldn't be good with that at all even for next year but this is a complete hall pass year for me. Loving Smith and Durham getting 27 and 30 mins. Like someone else said, they are easily moldable. Justin Smith.. he's lost right now. Definitely going to need a year. He is WAY behind in his movements, at THIS level. Huge upside coming with him though. Pretty good game by Rojo. Settling in again hopefully. And Davis.. feed that big dog and let him eat! He's not athletic at all but makes up for it in patience. And u know what, I like Freddie this year. Operates exactly like he is supposed to. Yea.. weird night for free throws. I really wouldn't worry about it guys (along with Green ) hate to say it but we're not gonna see a whole lot of Cujo this year. He's still way too weak at this level.
