http://www.courier-journal.com/story/sports/college/louisville/2016/02/05/sources-u-l-imposing-postseason-hoops-ban/79878760/ Sources: U of L imposing postseason hoops ban The University of Louisville plans to announce on Friday a self-imposed postseason ban on its men’s basketball team for the 2015-16 campaign, multiple sources told The Courier-Journal. The school informed the team’s players in a meeting early Friday afternoon, a source close to the program said, and will hold a press conference at 1:30 p.m. to announce the decision. (Watch the 1:30 p.m. press conference live here) The coaches told the players they only had nine games left, another source said, which is the remainder of the regular season. The decision comes as the NCAA continues to investigate a woman’s claims that she and other escorts were paid thousands of dollars and given game tickets in exchange for dancing for and having sex with U of L basketball players and recruits from 2010-14. It is a significant blow to coach Rick Pitino and his current team, which has an 18-4 record and is in second place in the competitive Atlantic Coast Conference. Louisville, ranked 19th in the latest AP poll, had high hopes for deep runs in the ACC and NCAA tournaments, and has a team built around two graduate transfers, Damion Lee and Trey Lewis, who came to U of L to play their final college season and pursue their first NCAA tournament bid.

If they would have done better homework, they would have realized that his last 2 gaudy years at New Mexico weren't representative of his earlier career coaching results. Or to use the phrase some of the off-the-wall stock trading firms use in their ads, "past performance is not indicative of future results."

Bittersweet win for me. Extremely happy our Lady Hoosiers were able to re-group at halftime and preserve their undefeated season on the home court. But I live in Logansport and I've watched Whitney Jennings play since she was in junior high and it was clear she was going to be something special. So I guess I got the best of both worlds - we win the game and Whitney had a great individual game. Somewhere in the thread someone asked if Whitney had been recruited by IU. I don't know the reasons why, but IU was never in the mix. Stories were that for whatever reasons the Jennings family did not like Curt Miller. -

After the stumble at Wisky and the near stumble at home against Minny, this was a fantastic on-the-road confidence building win. Maybe this game was the swift kick to the crotch of our historical February swoon and we can stay on a roll. -
RoJo had a stretch of rough shooting but tonight he's 4 of 9. And, he's currently tied with Max for most rebounds with 6. The kid has a nose for getting rebounds.

OG is only going to get better while I think what we see in Troy this year is exactly what we'll see next year.

Wayne was right. The Zebra stampede is starting.

Is it too late to change my Prediction League score? :D

Now just don't let up in the second half and keep your feet on their jugular. What an incredible comeback after being down 15 - 4 early. That was FUN!

And each leap year twenty-nine.
