  1. On 2/20, McCutcheon defeated Indpls. Arsenal Tech 70 - 63  Phinisee with 11 points on only 3 of 12 from the field.  But he did have 7 rebounds, 5 assists to go along with 4 steals.  Kind of a so-so game.
  2.   Terrific rebound from the disastrous start in Maui and then the loss of JBJ.  I don't think on-court wins/losses the remainder or this year have any bearing on if he'll be back or not.  Glass will stand by his man.  The only thing I see that would cause Glass to terminate CTC is another off-court incident.  I believe CTC is on a very short leash in that regard; nothing to back that statement up, just my opinion.
  3. Told y'all not to worry although I was more than a little nervous at halftime. Would love to know what the halftime locker room conversation was. The 2nd half was a great display of what this team can do. JBJ out for the season; RoJo out indefinitely and Troy goes down for extended minutes. 3/5 of our early season established starting lineup out of action and we didn't let us phase us. Truly a team effort and tremendous support from our bench. A really great win!
  4. Not to worry, I'm still in Vegas where I'll be watching the game on yet another casino TV!
  5. Certain coaches you don't want to bet against in the early rounds of your NCAA pool entry and he's definitely one of them.
  6. I hate this game btw. Awful, awful feeling about it.[/quote] That's me almost every game!
  7. The Ain't Swoonin' This Year. 79 Groce's Grunts. 69
  8. CTC's coaching and Troy's play have a lot in common in their sometimes head scratching decisions they make during a game. Neither are bad all the time but just often enough to keep most of us on edge until the final buzzer and provide more cannon fodder for this thread.
  9. My aging heart doesn't need nail biters but I'll take a win over PUke any way we get it. I have watched our last 2 victories from Las Vegas casinos so you know what that means? That's right, I'm not coming home until Tuesday, April 5. I'm just not sure which goes first my liver or my kid's inheritance! Today was indeed the perfect storm with our victory and the goose eggs for PUke and pUKe! A great day to be a part of the Hoosier Nation.
  10. He's gonna look mighty nice in candystripes!
  11. Sit on it! I'm on vacation and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!
  12. Been there, done that! You'll make it!
  13. Not a lot of young talent and several carrying way too much baggage, I.e., Calipari, Pitino, Boeheim, Williams, Huggins.
  14. IU. 77 POTFB. 76 Please let the good Troy show up!
  15. Post 38 TrueHoosier. "Legless by February, heartless by March". Starters log too many minutes in the blowout games and CTC running too hard late season practices. By his own words he worked them long and hard on Super Bowl Sunday after the Penn State loss and will probably do the same tomorrow. Of course they're legless and if you know you've got very little left in the tank you're going to be disheartened. Same old same old with a CTC coached team. And after today I'm afraid I'm moving on to the Troy please go pro bandwagon. I've read Hutch's post on Troy and I certainly respect his opinion, but Troy now has nearly 3 full seasons under his belt and every game we have to worry about which Troy will show up. Why should we expect he will be anything different next year? Today was bitterly disappointing.
  16. Au contraire, keep him out!
  17. First of all, I really blew it in Prediction League and I couldn't be happier.  Secondly, the team didn't crumble when Iowa got the lead.  They held it together, regrouped and made their charge at the right moment.  Thirdly, as so many posters have noted, the MVP of last night's game was The Bench!!  33% of our total points and the 28 - 0 margin over the Iowa bench. 23% of our total rebounds. 35% of our assists. 2 of our 3 blocks 3 of our 6 steals 1 TO Pretty impressive performance.
  18. Man, I am getting old!  I don't remember typing it in those exact words!!  :D   Kudos and a tip of the hat to whoever made the change and I'm jealous as hell that I didn't think of it first.
  19. Always a classy guy.  He was a good straight man to The General after honing his skills as a professional wrestling commentator interviewing the likes of Dick the Bruiser and the World's Most Scientific Wrestler Wilbur Snyder.
