  1. What a great day for our women's basketball program.  Now on to the B1G and take no prisoners!
  2.   Well of course the Ladies are winning.  I'm still in Vegas.
  3. Just like Elwood and Jake, the Lady Hoosiers are on a mission!
  4. 2/19, Luers defeated North Side 51 - 46.  Curry with 7 pts., 8 reb., 1 assist, 2 steals, 1 TO.   2/20, Luers defeated Gary Roosevelt 75 - 63.  Curry with 5 pts., 6 reb., 1 assist, 3 TO's.   2/22, Luers defeated New Haven 52 - 47.  Curry with 12 pts., 6 reb., 3 assits, -0- TO's.   2/26, Luers lost to Huntington North 61 - 44.  Curry does not appear in the box score.    Stats don't jump out at you, but remember this kid is only a freshman.
  5. On 2/12, South Side defeated Fort Wayne Wayne 67 - 61.  Boucher with 22 pts. on 7 of 18; he was 0 for 4 on 3's.  2 reb., 4 steals, 4 assists, 4 TO's.   On 2/19, South Side defeated FW Snider 80 - 74.  Boucher with 22 pts. on 7 of 16; 3 of 8 on 3's.  9 assists, 3 reb., 2 steals, 5 TO's.  This was the regular season ending game for South Side.
  6. Season to date - 22 games: 18.1 ppg 7.4 rpg 2 steals; 1 block; 1 assist per game In his final regular game of the season, he scored 12 pts. in a 56 - 47 win over John Glenn.
  7. I've heard he's been asked to appear on the next Dancin' With The Stars!
  8. Why are they going to Cameroon?  (I figured it was a typo on your part.)
  9. B1G Here We Come     78   Poke Eyes   77
  10. Yogi's night to shine in Assembly Hall for one final time     83   Tarpaulins    70
  11. On 2/26, in its season finale, Crown Point defeated Lowell 68 - 61.  Gelon finished with 18 points and seven rebounds and surpassed the 1,000-point mark (1,012).  Mildly interesting that it's taken Gelon 4 years to reach the 1,000 point mark.  We've got 2 juniors on our local high school team who both reached the 1,000 mark this season.    Stefanovic finished with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Not trying to hijack the thread, but Wayne's comment on Stefanovic is pretty accurate.  Game in and game out, his overall performance has been very steady not only in scoring but in rebounding as well.
  12. On 2/26, McCutcheon defeated Lake Central 64 - 46.  Phinisee with 9 pts., 3 assists and 3 steals.   Next Tuesday in the opening round of sectional play, McCutcheon opens against Jalen Adaway and Logansport.
  13. On 2/20, McCutcheon defeated Indpls. Arsenal Tech 70 - 63  Phinisee with 11 points on only 3 of 12 from the field.  But he did have 7 rebounds, 5 assists to go along with 4 steals.  Kind of a so-so game.
  14.   Terrific rebound from the disastrous start in Maui and then the loss of JBJ.  I don't think on-court wins/losses the remainder or this year have any bearing on if he'll be back or not.  Glass will stand by his man.  The only thing I see that would cause Glass to terminate CTC is another off-court incident.  I believe CTC is on a very short leash in that regard; nothing to back that statement up, just my opinion.
  15. Told y'all not to worry although I was more than a little nervous at halftime. Would love to know what the halftime locker room conversation was. The 2nd half was a great display of what this team can do. JBJ out for the season; RoJo out indefinitely and Troy goes down for extended minutes. 3/5 of our early season established starting lineup out of action and we didn't let us phase us. Truly a team effort and tremendous support from our bench. A really great win!
  16. Not to worry, I'm still in Vegas where I'll be watching the game on yet another casino TV!
  17. Certain coaches you don't want to bet against in the early rounds of your NCAA pool entry and he's definitely one of them.
  18. I hate this game btw. Awful, awful feeling about it.[/quote] That's me almost every game!
  19. The Ain't Swoonin' This Year. 79 Groce's Grunts. 69
  20. CTC's coaching and Troy's play have a lot in common in their sometimes head scratching decisions they make during a game. Neither are bad all the time but just often enough to keep most of us on edge until the final buzzer and provide more cannon fodder for this thread.
  21. My aging heart doesn't need nail biters but I'll take a win over PUke any way we get it. I have watched our last 2 victories from Las Vegas casinos so you know what that means? That's right, I'm not coming home until Tuesday, April 5. I'm just not sure which goes first my liver or my kid's inheritance! Today was indeed the perfect storm with our victory and the goose eggs for PUke and pUKe! A great day to be a part of the Hoosier Nation.
  22. He's gonna look mighty nice in candystripes!
  23. Sit on it! I'm on vacation and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!
