This one might be worth keeping an eye on: Toledo PG Leroy Blyden entering the portal. Freshman of the year in the MAC averaged 16pts/4rebs/4.5asts on 46/41/85 shooting splits. Better than 2/1 asst/to as a freshman. With 3 years of eligibility imagine he will be in high demand and as a Detroit kid and with Fears graduating it certainly feels like an MSU thing, but we’ll see.

He’s right, but I think for the most part it’s not just talented bigs, it’s bigs who’ve played a lot. TKR’s a 5th year. Ejiofor and Reed are Seniors. The 2 Michigan St bigs are both 5th years. Mast at Nebraska is 24. The 2 Illinois kids are young but they’ve been Pros since they were 16. Cenac for Houston is as talented as any of those dudes but he hasn’t played enough and he wasn’t ready for that deal. There aren’t many guys like that at all and, man, you’re right, are they gonna cost you.

The satisfaction of watching Sampson’s season ending title free each year is almost indescribable.
