Show me a kid who’s enjoying themselves as much as Uvwo is.

My Boy! Watching Uvwo block some kid at the rim and then literally laughing as he’s running down the floor is 1 of my favorite things in a good minute.

And now he’s playing in college. Don’t really even know what to think at this point. And the one who really drives me insane on this stuff is Bilas. He hates the NCAA so much that he’s a borderline anarchist on this stuff and he really wants to see it all burn to the ground. But I don’t know what coming out on the other side is supposed to look like.

Dude was drafted by the Celtics in ‘20. He’ll be 26 before he plays a conference game. 5 in 5 cannot freaking get here soon enough.

Have developed such a hatred for the step in charge that I’d have been fine with Thompson laying Merrill out and then Merrill being called for a block.

She may have kind of a point. Sure, they’ll revere his name, but after 5 years with the Raiders and he’s gone the full Ken Stabler with the the shoulder length hair, the beard, the Marlboro filterless hanging perpetually from his lip, the beer can surgically attached to his hand and barely able to function after the previous night’s debauchery will they actually recognize him?

2 things: 1) like that shirt a lot. Very simple, very cool, 2) What is up with dude’s toes? Those look absolutely painful.

Have no thoughts on his actual game, but look at this kid’s frame, movements and stroke and tell that doesn’t look like Hood-Schifino.

I keep thinking this one isn’t really a thing and things keep popping up just enough to make it a maybe and now they watch him 1st weekend and IU gets an early mention from the kid. If Clark is doing work here I guess we’ll see.

I’m sure it won’t happen but, man, I really like Curry. He’ll probably end up a lower profile kid in some SEC school’s class and then he’ll get there and be the best athlete on the team and he’s gonna defend like crazy and bring insane energy and dunk on 7 footers and fans will love him.

This is weird. Had to pay 4 bucks for a weekend pass to watch EYBL streams last session but this one appears to be free. Probably because last session they made a grand total of 4 bucks.

This is hideous. I remember this guy’s name as a pretty highly regarded NBA sleeper-type prospect in maybe ‘21 or ‘22.

Just gonna point out in the way of shear wishful thinking that Robert Miller from LSU is still unsigned. I’m sure it’s because he’s looking for ridiculous jack and probably guaranteed starter minutes but, man, from a skill fit perspective that’s all you want in a 3rd big right there.

Seem to vaguely recall listening to an album of his called, is it Chestnut, maybe, and it didn’t really do it for me. Found it sort of 1 note-y if I remember it right. So I never went any farther. .

I’m listening to La Vita Nuova right now and i wasn’t familiar with this record. This is nuts. The lyrics are a little over the top and baroque for my taste but, Jesus, the vocals and just the shear atmospherics of it are incredible. She’d have been 55 or so doing this, unbelievable. Thanks for posting that piece above because this is a rabbit hole I would not have found and this is awesome.

There’s an MTV doc from a long time ago out there about Lone Justice and basically the issues were: 1) the record label kept trying to drive them in a popish direction and the band rebelled hard. 2) They were a manufactured band and didn’t get along personally at all. 3) Maria was both really young and a little bit crazy and struggled with everything but the music. It’s a shame, they could have been great.

My all-time rock and roll crush. Ridiculous talent and just about the cutest thing ever. Saw a Lone Justice show and was mesmerized by her stage presence. Electric at 20 years old. Told anyone who would listen that they were gonna be huge.
