2025 NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament Discussion
Eagle’s Rug replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
They slowed it down after their injuries to protect Javon Small due to the load he had to take on. Drake was 150 last year in adjusted Tempo, in the 200-250 range before. Coach declared in his opening presser that they like to score in first 12 secs, so transition and secondary break will be stressed if true to his word. -

It’s hard to stop a team from taking the air out of the ball. Long possessions put a lot of pressure on defense. Limiting the number of offensive possessions for the other team. It’s a playing style that has been incredibly successful for them this year. Absolutely hated playing against teams like that. Hate that playing style, but good for them. Glad he’s not our coach. I’d rather have DeVries style of trying to score within 12 seconds. Most players want to get out and run. Indiana was a transition team first, then ran that beautiful motion seamlessly out of it. -

His son shut it down and then had surgery on the shoulder. That might be hard to fake -

Regarding #4, Eddies great and certainly recognizable, won’t argue his status in the top 5. But these guys are just as recognizable off the top of my head. That’s an easy 10: Jerry Garcia Stevie Ray Vaughn Slowhand Duane Allman Trey Anastasio Jimi Hendrix Kirk Hammett Angus Young Billy Gibbons David Gilmour -

We are all judging every candidate based off of stuff read online, watching games, etc. You’re all twisted up over someone finding religiosity objectionable in a leader of their chosen team. It’s just a personality trait criticism , but you swing to the word judgement to indicate persecution. It’s okay if people disagree and reject faith based leadership. It’s also okay to pay a full tithe and follow the Lord in all you do. -

For sure they can screw it up. I’m far more likely to make a bad decision based upon the information I have.
