“Overwhelming evidence, mostly in the form of witness interviews, exists that Dr. Bomba routinely performed digital rectal exams during the annual PPE [pre-participation physical examination] of IU men’s basketball players. By virtually all accounts, he conducted these examinations in a clinically appropriate manner.” Why would you need a rectal exam during a sports physical? So they confirmed that he did do this to players every year, but could not confirm it gratified him. Disturbing and unnecessary.

Not a criticism, but have we hit on any of those? -

I can agree there. It’s also laziness to complain about having to “sift through” things you don’t want to see and asking for someone to summarize. If you don’t have time to keep up that’s fine, but don’t expect someone to spoon feed you if you can’t be bothered to read the board to catch up. This thing is organic, mods do a great job of keeping it from going completely off the rails. Also a reminder to everyone use the ignore function for those posters whom you don’t want to hear from. Cut off repeat offenders and it’s pretty nice. -

I think one of the biggest strengths of this message board is the aggregation of IUBB related info. It’s a major hub due to the free posting of info and links from elsewhere. It’s like the Drudge Report of IUBB. That’s not baffling at all. -

Would be nice to see what he can do against teams that play defense. Certainly none being played in that reel. -

I did not see Buckner play, but I would put Oladipo above Reynolds, and I loved Reynolds. Oladipo was National Co-defensive player of the year. He changed games and would just smother and sn@tch. Beautiful to watch. -
Buzz is right at the national avg on D1 coaching tenure (5.4 years) and twice the average of SEC coaches (2.5). Surprising as my perception was he jumps around a lot too.

They slowed it down after their injuries to protect Javon Small due to the load he had to take on. Drake was 150 last year in adjusted Tempo, in the 200-250 range before. Coach declared in his opening presser that they like to score in first 12 secs, so transition and secondary break will be stressed if true to his word. -

It’s hard to stop a team from taking the air out of the ball. Long possessions put a lot of pressure on defense. Limiting the number of offensive possessions for the other team. It’s a playing style that has been incredibly successful for them this year. Absolutely hated playing against teams like that. Hate that playing style, but good for them. Glad he’s not our coach. I’d rather have DeVries style of trying to score within 12 seconds. Most players want to get out and run. Indiana was a transition team first, then ran that beautiful motion seamlessly out of it. -
