  1. And then Morgan goes down after stepping on HIS OWN FOOT!
  2. Just want to see us compete with composure from here on out.
  3. I hate all opposing players during the game. Usually, I'm fine with them before and after the game unless, of course, they are a serial "dirty" player.
  4. Agree with this 100%, and frankly, I'm glad to see it!
  5. This illustrates how important having the right type of players in the program to play CAM's system is. Who he is recruiting should tell us exactly how he wants to play.
  6. I've been watching since the fifties and I'm not sure I've ever seen a worse shooting Indiana team.
  7. That would mean overtime.
  8. So far, this game is setting basketball back fifty years.
  9. Not going to see great offense from this team. Win ugly is the way forward.
  10. We may be just what the doctor ordered!
  11. Purdue has no apparent weaknesses. They have size, depth, and shooting. I would take C. Edwards any and every day of the week. With MSU going down at home today, Purdue looks in the driver's seat for back to back conference titles. Like it or not, and I don't, they are a legitimate threat for a deep tourney run.
  12. You could cut and paste that statement and apply it almost universally. I live in the very southwest part of Carmel, Indiana (thanks unwanted annexation) and kids in trouble here are treated vastly differently than kids living just ten miles to the south in Indianapolis. The same could be said for adults, see Jim Irsay case.
  13. At this point, given the what I've seen from conference teams, there's not a team we can't beat.......or be beaten by.
  14. For all the good things that Davis can do for us, his lack of foot speed hurts in CAM's defense and he tends to clog the lane making it difficult for our guards to drive. I wish he was still available because we need the frontcourt depth, but I also like what we've done the past two games.
  15. His defensive reactions haven't quite caught up with the speed of the game yet. He is looking much better on offense and hopefully the defense will get there real soon.
  16. Hard to explain, but we play much better defensively when McRoberts is on the floor.
  17. Looks like the Hurrin' Hoosiers are back!
  18. Nothing like a good dose of rationalization to make me feel better in the face of massive disappointment!
  19. I have a strong dislike for Purdue and I'm not that fond of Painter either. But, I have a lot of respect for how he puts teams together and how they play. He's getting his kind of talent again now and, like it or not, Purdue is not going away..I think CAM is doing the same thing and expect some epic Knight/Keady like battles in the future.
  20. Great win! Honestly, I thought we were heading for Wisconsin 2.0 as the second half started. I'll give the game ball to Minnesota for that mess at the end. Greene's bonehead ten second violation was the low light of the game until Minnesota topped it at the end.
  21. I hope that translates to Bloomington because we haven't seen that kind of loyalty and leadership in quite some time.
  22. Every one of our players signed up to play a different style with a coach with a different personality. They have had this season to figure out if CAM's system can work for them. Anyone who decides it does not should try to find a better fit. Playing college basketball should be a once in a lifetime experience and be enjoyed to the fullest. I thank, and wish the best, for anyone from this team seeking a more compatible situation.
  23. I'm definitely disappointed with our record and our effort. I hoped CAM would be able to coach this team into over achievers and we would see a team that was greater than the sum of the parts. Instead, they are less...much like last year. And yet in spite of all that, if we were shooting a reasonable three point percentage the conversation, and the record, would probably be different. I think we now know that Coach Miller can't walk on water or work miracles and this transition is going to be made the hard way. I like his coaching philosophy and I believe it will work out....just not as fast as I hoped.
  24. I've been thinking for a while that this is where we are headed. It's hard to see CAM embracing the one-and-done philosophy when he talks about needing three years to master the defense he wants to play. I'm sure he will take top ten talent but I don't see him building the program around them. Maybe the worst thing that happened to him was virtually everyone coming back. Holtman was at least able to go out and get a few of his own guys.
  25. When things are this bad and effort is obviously this lacking, usually something is very wrong on the inside. Curtis Jones leaving may have just been the first indication. Some are probably just playing out the string knowing CAM doesn't have many options if he wants even a prayer of winning. Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me to see another defection before the season is over. This team is going to look completely different next year...and it needs to!
