  1. This was extra brutal for me b/c they were the last leg of a 6 game parlay for me. Got the first 5 correct but had Belmont covering -12.5.
  2. Belmont was down 17 early 2nd half and came back to tie it to take it to OT against TN Tech. It’s on the local PBS station down here. I tried to watch some of it but the announcers are so incredibly redneck they sound like they’re calling a small town Alabama high school football game…it made it unwatchable. I’m trying to power through OT now…
  3. Very well could be. Those two are interchangeable in my scenario really since they're both high quad 2 games. Honestly we might be better off winning at NW b/c they have a better chance of sneaking into the quad 1 range for us.
  4. Seems like such a huge missed opportunity today with the schedule we have left. If we win our 3 most winnable games (Maryland and Rutgers at home, @ NW) we'd get to 19 wins but only pick up 1 more quad 2 win. I believe that would put our total quad 1/2 record at 5-10 the way things stand with the NET right now. I think we have to get to 20 wins but if that one extra win is @ Minny, that may still not be enough. Wisconsin at home is looking like a must win. A loss Tuesday at NW and things could easily spiral.
  5. Down 13 w/ 4 minutes left and our 3 best 3 point shooters are in the bench.
  6. Still just absolutely immune to momentum. Which makes this 5 game stretch really scary.
  7. Parker was 2-2 from 3 at the 1H under 12 timeout. We’ve now gone a full 20 game minutes w/o getting him another 3 point shot. Edit: never mind he just missed one. Still…
  8. Agreed, for sure. My comment was more of a general comment on humanity applied to this specific situation. Very meta. Or something like that. Maybe. I don’t really know what that means.
  9. The even more simple fix is for players to drop the fake tough guy stuff and…crazy thought here, I know….just walk around the huddle?
  10. There is nothing more dumb in sports than the fake tough guy “I will walk an exact straight line to my huddle even if that means walking directly through your huddle and I’m gonna be super mad if you don’t get out of my way”
  11. IU Scott is actually Scott Dolson. Weird he didn't try to disguise himself a little better like, "IU ott-Scay olson-Day" or "BigboiHoosierDaddy69". He's just trying to throw us outsiders off of your moderate to quite moderate insider scent. Keep bringing the goods, Chris, and we'll keep gobbling it up like a baby bird waiting for mama bird to spit up dinner.
  12. Like…perhaps…the coaching of the offensive line?
  13. Isn't Dasan already enrolled? Not saying there aren't ways around that, but that would be one heck of a pivot to be so committed that you graduate HS early and enroll in college early to get a head start on that process only to pull the plug and go elsewhere.
  14. We should have known. There's been too much positive news since the season ended. It's Indiana Football, after all. Silly us.
  15. Just finished up. Wow. Maryland was terrible but we certainly took care of business. A win against ILL and I might start believing this whole momentum thing is possible.
  16. Stop disrespecting their court, man. If they had a full roster on that court the court would look better. :-)
  17. I think most people, myself included, will agree with your second post here. But being realistic about this team's inability to sustain any momentum, which until we can, will keep us squarely in danger of missing the tournament, doesn't mean anyone is "acting surprised that we aren't a perfect team yet."
  18. Oh yeah, I’ve got all those as possible wins too. Yet we’ve proven we are capable of losing all of them as well. I just don’t have confidence (yet) that this team can win 6 of our 8 most winnable games.
  19. Agreed. I'm having a very hard time 6 more wins as is. Only 5 home games left and 2 of those are against ranked teams. Beating Nebraska on the road did very little to convince me we'll perform well on the road going forward. The Purdue win momentarily tricked me into thinking we've got a very manageable schedule coming up. Sunday reminded me that the schedule doesn't even matter b/c momentum is something this program is completely immune to. Lose tonight and we are toast.
  20. So far, I’m really glad I didn’t see this. :-) Though the current +290 is absolutely screaming at me.
  21. I'm certainly not the expert here, but they still have to seed teams. It's all about having as many data points to look at as possible. The overall quality wins goes toward getting you in the field. The details are what differentiate seeding. If it was random draw of who played who, 68 teams drawn one by one from a hat, then things like quads wouldn't matter. But the above example of both being a quality win but one being a Q1 win vs. the other being Q2 win could be the difference in a team being a 4 seed or a 5 seed, or for those so lucky enough to live and die on the bubble, a Q1 win vs. a Q2 win, though both quality, could mean the difference between heading to Dayton or hosting some NIT games.
  22. The big positive here is if anyone was still hanging in to the ridiculous suit or no suit stuff, we can finally put that nonsense to bed.
  23. Thursday changed nothing. We are determined to ride the bubble. We are immune to momentum in this program.
  24. Are we not calling traveling anymore? Watch how far Williams moves his pivot foot before that last bucket…and right in front of the official!! Apologies for the crappy cell phone video. IMG_1346.MOV
